I am still nervous... I am writing all your advises right now and I am going to review all the questions that asked on you during your interview.....

You have already completed the difficult part of the process...your medical exam. Your interview will be a breeze compared to your medical because the interview is just a formality. You will be in and out of your interview in three minutes flat. You will look back on your interview and laugh at how easy it was.:yes:

SO IT WAS CENMAR the Certificate of Marriage and not the CENOMAR the certificate for no marriage.. That's why I am so confused because of it... Anyway it was cleared already...

I'm not certain, but it sounds like you think they just was your NSO Marriage Certificate. That is not the case.

Make sure you have BOTH of these:

PLEASE click on the links to see the samples, so you know what they're looking for.

NSO Certificate of Marriage http://www.visajourn...=3826&pid=25651. This is just the Marriage Certificate from the Civil Registrar that has been printed on the NSO security paper (SECPA)

CEMAR Certificate of Marriage / Marriage Index http://www.visajourn...=3826&pid=25649 This is what you get when you apply for a CENOMAR and you are married or have been married previously. THIS IS THE ONE MOST PEOPLE SEEM SO BE FORGETTING TO BRING TO THE INTERVIEW.

I don't have yet the CEMAR or the marriage index... If I will go to the NSO I'll just ask about my CEMAR or the marriage index?

Basically what you will do is apply for a CENOMAR, but because you are already married what they will issue is a marriage index/CENMAR.

Better apply for one now...no idea how long it would take NSO to issue one.

Sorry to barge in on condz' thread but I thought I should just post here as my question is also about the marriage certificate .

My husband (USC) and I (beneficiary) were married abroad. I've never been married in the Philippines.

Do I just bring these two (originals) to the interview? NVC already has an original copy of our marriage certificate and they've already forwarded it to the US Embassy Manila.

- marriage certificate

- Philippine Consulate-authenticated marriage certificate

Or do I need to also obtain and bring an NSO Certificate of No Marriage (CENOMAR)? Does the Embassy require proof that a Filipino, who married abroad, has no prior or existing marriages in the Philippines?

Just to be safe, I'd get the CENOMAR from NSO. Just a few hundred pesos and not really worth the wait if they want it and you don't have it.

Thanks. That's what I was thinking too.

I'm glad I saw the posts here as I never even thought of getting a CENOMAR.

Still have a question in my mind...

I am confused right now, do I need to pay for the IV Application fees worth $330?

Cause I am reading right now http://photos.state.gov/libraries/manila/306605/atienzalb/Packet%204%20Tagalog_rtf%20_updated2_.pdf...

Immigrant Visa Security Surcharge - $74

But then it was already paid by my husband through online via NVC....

I need some help please about this... Cause I can't think straight right now because my interview will be on December 6....

Posted

The visa is already paid, $404 (which is the $330 for the visa + $ 74 security surcharge).

Try to relax...the interview is just a formality...am sure you will bring home the pink!
