Hahaha!!! I was hyperventilating when I found out about this. I should have researched it more so I could've saved for it :blink: Oh gosh...if the timeline is correct, I have to save more than $3000 for both of my parents in 5 months. This includes AOS, Visa Fee, Medical, Airfare and misc. I SHOULD HAVE KNOWN :bonk:

My Parent's Timeline

2011-03-14: Mailed application to USCIS

2011-03-16: Application was recieved NOA1 to follow in the mail.

2011-03-21: Received text stating application recieved 03/16/2011.

2011-03-28: Received NOA1 for both petition in the mail.

2011-06-20: Received NOA2 for both petition in the mail. (APPROVED!!)

--- NVC ---

2011-07-21: Haven't heard anything from NVC. Called them and was informed that the Approved Petition was received 2011-06-18. What's taking them so long?!?!?!

2011-07-22: Back on track! Called the 24 hr hotline and got the NVC Number (^__^)

2011-07-23: My parents e-mailed NVC and filed DS-3032 electronically.

2011-07-25: I received an e-mail stating that I am the Choice of Agent for my Parents.

2011-07-25: Called NVC and I got their Invoice Identification Number!!!

2011-07-26: Made online payment for AOS Bill.

2011-07-27: Made online payment for IV Bill.

2011-07-29: AOS payment posted PAID

2011-09-27: Sent AOS, DS-230 & supporting documents to NVC.

2011-10-19: CASE COMPLETE

2011-11-17: Medical Complete

2011-12-08: INTERVIEW!!! - MOM got approved. DAD on AP!!!

2011-12-16: DAD was issued a visa

On March 26, 2011 I received email from NVC: interview for parents scheduled for May 9, 2011 in Warsaw, Poland.

So now - do I need to send my parents any papers so they have it during the interview? We sent all the originals to NVC already.

Also, do my parents need to bring additional photos? We already submitted 2 to NVC but the interview letter asks for 2 more. Any thoughts?

2010-10-04: I-130 Sent for both parents via Express mail in one envelope.

2010-10-08: NOA1 email and text notification received. Both checks cashed.

2010-10-08: Case numbers assigned: both cases sent to California Service Center. Cases available online.

2010-10-15: NOA1 hardcopy received by mail.

2010-10-18: Both cases "Touched" online.

2011-01-21: NOA2 email received. Cases approved in 3.5 months.

2011-01-27: NVC entered both cases in the system. Auto update by phone.

2011-01-28: Called NVC to update my email address.

2011-01-29: NOA2 hardcopy received by mail.

2011-01-31: NVC sent me emails about AOS fee and Choice of Agent forms. Paid AOS fee of $88.

2011-02-01: Sent Choice of Agent forms to NVC via regular mail.

2011-02-02: AOS fee status online: PAID. Printed Document Cover Sheet.

2011-02-03: Mailed 2 forms (for both parents) I-864EZ, Affidavit Of Support to NVC.

2011-02-04: Called NVC: Choice of Agent forms received on Feb 3, 2011

2011-02-07: Called NVC: IV Bill fee is ready to be paid. $404x2 paid for both parents online.

2011-02-08: IV Bill fee status online: PAID. Printed Document Cover Sheet.

2011-02-09: Received email from NVC asking to complete an Application for Immigrant Visa.

2011-02-12: Mailed DS-230 packets for both parents to NVC via express mail.

2011-02-14: Recieved USPS confirmation that DS-230 packets were delivered to NVC on FEB 14, 2011.

2011-03-01: Called NVC: they received DS-230 and biographic data on FEB 28, 2011.

2011-03-11: Both cases completed!

2011-03-26: Received email from NVC: interview for parents scheduled for May 9, 2011 in Warsaw, Poland.

03 -25-2011 --------------received email that I864 received and some documents were missing

03 -31-2011 ---------------CALLED the NVC , CASE was completed on March 29

???????????????????????????waiting for interview date

Hi Maria_Francesca,

I think it's better that your parents have their papers at hand during the interview just in case the Embassy will ask for it. Otherwise the Embassy at Poland will also send notice to your parents for the documents needed to bring. Better be ready and comply to not cause another delay.

Well try travel.state.gov, visas, forms. You are at the NVC stage.... Won't find anything on immigration website of USCIS.

Is this correct, then how do you pay-online, with a check only? You could alway do a cash advance on your credit card.

yeah they currently accept payment from a online acct. only. ..maybe credit card in the future..?

Are you talking about the AOS or IV documents? The system may sens out a checklist . You may choose to go to the NVC's website and see what documents would apply. I'm on a mobile but the link below should work.
