UPDATE!!

my wife's parents went on interview Friday morning in Philippines same experience went in line around 6am, they went to a window where a filipina lookedover their papwerwork and told them they needed a w-2 for 2010 and the father's name has a similar name that has a case in the philippines which was red flagged the filipina said they needed a letter from NBI eventhough he has an NBI clearance, they still went thru the interview

questions asked

when was the last time you saw your daughter

how did your daughter got to america

did they have a kid

he asked if they have a family picture of us

he also asked how old is the kid

and finally he asked if me and my wife are happily married

in window 72 they got a letter with a check mark on need a w-2 and written 2010, and both passprt, also there is a check mark on the box that underneath REQUIRED CLEARANCES, NBI written explanation of "no criminal record" or "no pending cases" for (name)

at the very bottom circled was SUBMISSION OF REQUIRED DOCUMENT(S) Applicatns should use the 2GO courrier service to return documents to the Immigrant Visa Unit.

From what i understand i think this is still a win because the other checkbox which was not circled says WAIT UNTIL YOU HEAR FROM US.

Our only concern is how long does the letter from the NBI take to process.

Thank you for everybody's help

I have a question. Last wednesday I gave birth to our daugther. Do you think this is going to change my I-864 now. Would they ask for a new I864 with one more dependent? Should I get one ready for my mom? She was already schedule for an interview on Sept 28th at the end of july. When i filed I864 back in June I had 3 dependents now I had 4 dependents. I still make enough money to cover 4 of us.

I found this post very interesting, make sure your NBI clearance does not say NO CRIMINAL RECORD, WITH DEROGATORY RECORD, NO CRIMINAL CONVICTION if your NBI says this you need to clear something up with NBI and try to do this before your interview and once fixed apply for NBI clearance again

hope this helps
