Aloha!

I started to petition my parents last year August and after all the delays in USCIS-CA and Philippine NBI I finally got the NVC "Signed In Failed" 2 days ago (June 28). My question now, will NVC is gonna email me about the approval and the date of medical & interview? Or should I call the Philippine embassy to make an schedule. And lastly, are parents required to attend the CFO seminar?

The NVC does not approve. They will notify you and the applicant of the medical and interview date. You all are required to schedule the medical review. I know there are certain "exit classes" required for citizens of the Philippines before they leave - i read.

I noticed today that I have "Sign In Failed" for my dad's case. I called NVC that his case is completed as of today. They need to wait for my mom's case to close before they can schedule for an interview.

Im actually the same boat as you are and also wondering the same, I checked mine 7-12 and got a failed sign in, hopefully somebody can answer the questions.. thanks

can i add about how long am i looking at for the interview

05/04/11 Waiting.......I am pregnant and I wish my Mom could be here when baby is born

05/23/11 Received email. Case approved. Yeahhhhhh

05/26/11 Received NOA 2 in the mail.

06/08/11 Called to give emails and got IIN.

06/10/11 Sent DS3032 email and paid AOS fee. Received auto response 15 seconds later.

06/14/11 AOS Showed Paid. Sent AOS Package.

06/16/11 NVC Received and accepted DS3032. AOS Package was delivered to NVC.

06/17/11 Paid IV fee.

06/22/11 IV Showed Paid.

06/23/11 Sent DS-230 via Express Mail.

You wait for the email from NVC giving you the date of your interview. In the case for the Philippines, you can get your medical exams anytime now even without the interview letter. All you need is your case number (i.e. MNL2011XXXXXX).

Thanks Marces21. Let's keep our fingers crossed that it will happen soon. I have reserved Aug 15 for both my parents using Manila US Embassy's online scheduling. If NVC will schedule me on a later date, I will move it on that date.

All originals. You can have one original for their marriage. Photocopy it and tell them in your cover letter that the original is in a related case and indicate the case number.

If your parents have not traveled to other countries for more than 6 mos, NBI clearance will do. No need for police clearance.

You ask them to send these documents to you since you need to submit these after you paid DS-230 bill.

I'm confused, these documents...will I have to submit it to NVC or my parents will bring them to the US Embassy on the day of their interview...

My Parent's Timeline

2011-03-14: Mailed application to USCIS

2011-03-16: Application was recieved NOA1 to follow in the mail.

2011-03-21: Received text stating application recieved 03/16/2011.

2011-03-28: Received NOA1 for both petition in the mail.

2011-06-20: Received NOA2 for both petition in the mail. (APPROVED!!)

--- NVC ---

2011-07-21: Haven't heard anything from NVC. Called them and was informed that the Approved Petition was received 2011-06-18. What's taking them so long?!?!?!

2011-07-22: Back on track! Called the 24 hr hotline and got the NVC Number (^__^)

2011-07-23: My parents e-mailed NVC and filed DS-3032 electronically.

2011-07-25: I received an e-mail stating that I am the Choice of Agent for my Parents.

2011-07-25: Called NVC and I got their Invoice Identification Number!!!

2011-07-26: Made online payment for AOS Bill.

2011-07-27: Made online payment for IV Bill.

2011-07-29: AOS payment posted PAID

2011-09-27: Sent AOS, DS-230 & supporting documents to NVC.

2011-10-19: CASE COMPLETE

2011-11-17: Medical Complete

2011-12-08: INTERVIEW!!! - MOM got approved. DAD on AP!!!

2011-12-16: DAD was issued a visa
