So for anyone wondering about the new Packet 3 and Packet 4 from Montreal - apparently it IS helping somewhat!

I sent back P3 on November 10th, and was HOPING we'd hear quickly, but I didn't think it would be this quickly!

For whatever reason, Montreal now sends letters to both the foreign fiance(e) AND the USC, and my fiance received Packet 4 in today's mail! It said I was free to schedule my interview, as they were done reviewing my case, and to please proceed to the website to schedule!

I was shocked and happppy!

The earliest interview was March 8th, 2011.... which is still about a 3.5-ish month wait, but I'm so happy that it is not the 6 months I was expecting to wait!

So for all of you who recently sent back Packet 3, or are waiting for Packet 3 - you might still wait for the actual interview for a few months, but the wait to schedule won't be too long!

So, ahem, I have to........ :dance::dance::dance::dance::dance:

May 25th, 2010 : Filed I-129F at CSC

June 1st, 2010 : NoA1

June 7th, 2010 : Touch

October 19th, 2010: Touch

October 20th, 2010: NoA2! (141 days)

November 8th, 2010: Received Packet 3 from Montreal

November 10th, 2010: Sent Packet 3 back to Montreal

November 25th: Received Packet 4 & Scheduled interview!

March 8th, 2011: Interview in Montreal - Approved!

April 30th, 2011: Move to CA

May 6th, 2011: Married <3

May 31st, 2011: Filed AOS

June 6th, 2011: NoA1

June 13th, 2011: Received Notice for Biometrics

July 7th, 2011: Biometrics

August 22, 2011: AOS Interview - Approved!

August 29th, 2011: Greencard in hand!

YAY!! Its nice to know montreal is finally kicking things into high gear! :dance: I will join you in a happy dance for all those that are waiting.

funny story - I had no idea where that little dancing man came from all these months on VJ... then I finally asked J of JLovesA and she showed me how to do it!!! haha and ever since I learned (last week), I can't help myself....

EEE! We are interview buddies :D I can't believe how fast it came and I am so glad we have advance notice to know when we can book tickets to and from Montreal and hotels and what not :D And yes so much better then waiting 6 months... although they never did email me like they said haha... did they email you CBM?

Also I think my fiancee got P4 in the mail faster than I did haha... but I can't be quoted on that cause my mail goes to my grandparents and I haven't got her to check yet :D Either way :dance:

And we will have a whole page both of us to dance once we are approved

06/07/2010: Received Hard Copy NOA1

10/19/2010: NOA2 (139 Days since NOA1)

10/25/2010: Hard Copy NOA2 arrived :D And it arrived at NVC :D

10/26/2010: Case Sent to Montreal Consulate.

11/01/2010: Montreal Consulate Received Case, and P3 Sent to US Petitioner

11/08/2010: US Petitioner received P3(20 days since NOA2)

11/10/2010: Sent P3 back through DHL service :D

11/24/2010: Received P4 (14 days since sending P3 Back)

03/08/2011: Interview! (Canceled due to unforeseen circumstances)

Ya! It's like the office manager brought in TimBits and Expresso for everyone, and they went into supercharged Turbo mode and processed every packet in the place! :dance:

Congrats! Always nice to have a date to look forward too! So much better to schedule the date yourself, rather than waiting to find out "do we have an interview date?" That was torture back last spring for me.

It ended up at a perfect time, as it were.... it's later than we wanted, but I will be in classes, not teaching, during March, so I won't have to stay later to make up any days - I can POE May 1st (assuming visa is approved, God willing!).... plus it gives my fiance a chance to do his 2010 taxes so I have the most up to date year available. Yahoo!

Congrats on the speedy interview booking! Makes me breathe a little easier that that part of the process won't take quite as long as originally thought..

That's awesome. Having a set date is so reassuring.

See profile for our K-1 Visa/AOS story from 2010-2011Apparently we love USCIS/NVC so much we left and are doing it again! This time giving IR-1 a whirl. Rock on immigrators.

07/09/2014 sent in IR-1 packet to Chicago Lockbox

07/16/2014 NOA1

07/17/2014 check cashed by USCIS

10/01/2014 found out we are expecting baby #2 June 2015!

12/15/2014 NOA2

12/30/2014 Case received by NVC

03/23/2015 Received Case and Inv # from NVC after many calls and bogus excuses.

03/24/2015 AOS payment accepted by NVC

04/09/2015 IV payment finally accepted by NVC after the set the wrong fee and took weeks to correct it.

*many more delays thanks to the agency processing my fingers prints to the RCMP and the post office losing our mail*

05/20/2015 Packet sent to NVC via UPS, eta May 28.

06/16/2015 Baby #2 due - homebirth in Scottsdale, AZ
