This is the latest info the USCIS website regarding processing times. In a nutshell: we are still incompetent and unable to provide a better service. Thus from now on, we will just give the maximum procesing time so we don't complain for six months, once you do complain they will just change the times as they please. Again, unbelievable!!!!!

Improved Procedure for Reporting USCIS Processing Time

of Immigration Benefit Applications on the USCIS Website

U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) has improved the reporting procedure for processing times of immigration benefit applications located at the USCIS website: www.uscis.gov. In the past, USCIS benefit processing reports indicated the specific type of applications or petitions that were being processed and the date the cases were received. However, the date the case was received did not provide a clear indication of when USCIS expected to complete the case, nor did it provide a clear indication of USCIS’ commitment to process cases within a certain cycle time. It also did not align with the processing times and cycle times the agency reports in other contexts.

This improved reporting procedure is an effort to give our customers more accurate information that better reflects current processing time and USCIS service level commitments. Effective immediately, when we are completing applications and petitions within our service goal levels we will report that as the processing time. For example, when our service level goal is to process a particular kind of case within six months, then if our processing time is six months or less, we will show a processing time consistent with our service level goal because that reflects our commitment. Similarly, where our service level goal is 3 month processing, we will show a processing time reflecting that commitment if we are meeting that service level goal.

When we are not meeting our service level goal, the date posted will reflect the filing date of cases that are being completed. It should be noted that while in some instances reported processing dates may appear to have regressed due to this change, they do not reflect a lengthening of USCIS processing times, but simply the change in reporting. Our goal is to provide accurate projections and thus give customers clear expectations as to what they can expect as a processing time.

Here's a simple translation for you!

"U.S. It also did not align with the processing times and cycle times the agency reports in other contexts."

Translation: We don't have a clue as to how long it takes us to do anything!

"This improved reporting procedure is an effort to give our customers more accurate information that better reflects current processing time and USCIS service level commitments. Effective immediately, when we are completing applications and petitions within our service goal levels we will report that as the processing time. For example, when our service level goal is to process a particular kind of case within six months, then if our processing time is six months or less, we will show a processing time consistent with our service level goal because that reflects our commitment. Similarly, where our service level goal is 3 month processing, we will show a processing time reflecting that commitment if we are meeting that service level goal."

Translation: We are just going to redefine bad service as good service!

"When we are not meeting our service level goal, the date posted will reflect the filing date of cases that are being completed. It should be noted that while in some instances reported processing dates may appear to have regressed due to this change, they do not reflect a lengthening of USCIS processing times, but simply the change in reporting. Our goal is to provide accurate projections and thus give customers clear expectations as to what they can expect as a processing time."

Translation: Yeah we know our processing times suck, so we want to lower your expectations.

CSC will stay stuck on March 6 until they process all of the people who were screwed over by their #### up in implementing IMBRA. That could take several more months. Not sure who shows K1s at 137 days since many of us are much closer to 150 with no end in sight. Each consulate schedules interviews differently- best to ask that question in the regional forum so you can answers from people who have already been through it.

I-129Fs used to take around 60-90 days at NSC before all of this bullsh*t. Now they are randomly approving based on the what file they pick up at that moment.

So, I-129F's are 3 month turn around time, or supposed to be 3 month turn around time??

In the past, I-129Fs took 60-90 days at NSC, 2 - 30 days at VSC, not sure about CSC. There is, unfortunately no "supposed to" anymore. All past timelines and statistics are dust in the wind. There is clearly no logic or anyway to estimate as we've seen the evidence of in the past month or so here.

So..... if I reach 180 days... what can I do and what are they going to do about it?

It says they will keep the approvals within the time frame.... what happens if they exceed that, what happens then??:huh:

Can't answer that one. I doubt there is anything we can do and I doubt there is anything they will do. I didn't read the USCIS posting very carefully but I believe the truth is, it does not matter one iota if there is something in writing that says they will keep the approvals within the time frame. I have tried getting answers from senators and congressman about these questions and no one knows anything except this - USCIS screwed up royally and we are all paying the price. They apparently answer to no one, make their own rules, and that's that.

yeah...Im creeping up on the 180 day mark pretty soon too....

I was thinking about contacting the congressman soon, but I decided to wait and see if I hit that mark first without an approval....I think a six month wait time is enough to complain about.

So many of us are still waiting from March, and some still from February...this whole thing is becoming more and more ridiculous. :(
