Contact info. for U.S Embassy in London

Hello does anyone know the e-mail address for U.S embassy in London. There is only a number which they charge you $16 if you talk over the phone and ask question. I could not find any e-mail address. Anyone knows any e-mail from this consulate?

Your other half, in the UK, will have to call them and get the weekly email code and the email address. If you email them without the code then the email is ignored. It will cost them up to about £20 depending on how long they have to hold for. The charge at that end is £1.20 per minute on a landline and more from a mobile.

i cant remember the address, but you need to call first unfortunatly. They will not answer emails without the code of the week, and you can only get that code by calling the extorsion line.

This email address is no good if you don't have the code that you have to get from them when you call. You MUST have the email code or your email will be ignored and deleted.

I called and they charged me for $16 but they did not give me any code. But in my credit card statement there is a code with this charge. Is this the right code?

The code is called a CIU code. You put it in the subject line when emailing the Embassy. You have to ask for it when calling.

If you dont have it when emailing, it doesnt guarantee an answer though.

If you do have it, and use it - you get a receipt of acknowledgment saying they are averaging responses in about 3-4 days.

The good thing is, when you have emailed using the code and they have responded personally to you - they allow you (at the end of the email there is a paragraph) to respond directly to that received email. I was under the impression you have to keep calling to ask specific questions but you only need the one code.
