i think so too. . .im almost 6 months Feb 17, asked for a service request, they told us to wait another freakin 30days. . .losing patience. . about to write to the ombudsman a couple of days from now,

krisca have you tried sending an e-mail to TSC. This is what I sent to them a week ago and they replied within 3 days. The person that replied told me that my case was in final review and a week later I get an approval. ..this is what I wrote to them....

Hello,

I am writing this e-mail in order to obtain any information I can about a case a filed with the USCIS for my husband. The case was filed in August, it was transferred from the California Service Center to TSC. I received a notice on November 24th telling me that my case has been returned from NVC for review. When I received the notice I called USCIS to ask what the reason could be for the transfer. I was told that my case has been approved but returned from the NVC. I wondered if that was actually the case, because I didnt receive any notice telling me that my case was approved, which is usually what they do when they approve your case. I know there is a 180 days waiting period, but some other August filers have also received the same message on November 24th and are now waiting like me to see what is going on with their case, this is making me wonder and question if this is all an error on behalf of TSC. I do hope that by sending this e-mail you will be able to give me information about my case other than what I already know.

You should include your case number, case type and the petitioner name..also put in the subject line "case follow up".

did u also ask for a service request? thanks i was thinking of emailing them. . .but we wanted to wait for a couple more days. . .should we email them? it's really frustrating being left behind on the approval of the August Filer, looks like we have the same emails. . .transferred to TSC...returned from NVC blah blah. . .i'll talk to my husband about it, thanks so much

i just asked them to basically give me any info on my case other than what they have, and they sent me an email back telling me its in the stages of final review.. so i think that it would be a good idea for you to send them an email..it wouldnt hurt

already did. . .thanks. . .sent an email right after i read your post i hope i hear from them right away, coz the Service Request thing sucks, its been like 2 weeks and still nothing from them. Hopefully the email will work.

Congratulations, mmunz2001 and AdoV1! McManaman, hang in there, you'll get your approval on one of these days. As for your indirect question, yes, it did take approximately 3 weeks for my approved petition to be forwarded to the NVC. I believe, however, that it will take another 2 to 3 months for the case to be processed in New Hampshire. Anyway, I'll keep you posted so you can have an idea as to how long the journey is going to be from now on until my mother gets her visa. At the same time, if you have a different type of beneficiary on your I-130, I think that the DoS might deal with your application a lot faster. Time will tell us how it's going to be, I guess. As for how unpleasant it is to have to wait for an answer, I've been there so I surely understand that.

Thank you for your kind words, Callina. In our case I have petitioned for my wife. She is very patient and that's what's keeping me sane so far .. Thank you for contacting us about your I-130 petition. We understand the effects our processing times can have on applicants and are working diligently to shorten the processing time. You should receive a notice on your I-130 petition by February 18, 2011. We apologize for any inconvenience this has caused.

I hope that i would get a notice on the said date otherwise im gonna be pissed. anyone received an email like this? did they really send the notice on the date they said? it took USCIS 15 days to reply to our service request. .

I emailed Texas Service Center last friday and got the same response from Officer Garza this morning.
