Thanks everyone!

And unfortunately with the way things feel outside, summer is almost here in Florida...Am I supposed to sweat outside in Feb/March?? :(

:)

And Florida grass is crappy, not like northern soft grass. Since we have sand under the grass here, not dirt, it's hard to get nice grass growing without spending mucho bucks. Hopefully with rain the lawn will look better. :)

Working on it and watching it get better as you work it, is a nice feeling though. My place doesn't have a lawn I can take care of (I live in a townhouse) so I miss that.

True!

i love the tree!!

 CONGRATULATIONS Christina and Sujeet!!!

The house is sooo cute, and I love the front porch!!!

thanks!!

Our closing was yesterday! And would you believe, we got money BACK at closing. We got a check back for $719 from the mortgage company. All due to us getting the seller to pay $3000 closing costs as part of the deal. Because it was a first time home buyers program, we had gotten a $5,000 supplemental loan funded by our state with a really low interest rate (5%) and that along with the $3000 from the seller, ended up giving us a refund of $719 after all closing costs were paid...awesome huh?

We didn't think we'd be able to buy a house only a year and a half after Sujeet moved here, but we have been blessed!

Here we are in our new house last night

Hey, u need to post the picture of the house again, i didnt get to see it! Congratulations on your new home!

Enjoy decorating and painting the house, that was my favorite part! When we moved into our home, the toughest part was cleaning up! i Cloroxed up the whole house from top to bottom, every inch in the house.... And i had to do it FAAAAAST, because my inlaws decided to come pay us a visit 5 days after we moved in... You would expect them to at least give us a week to clean up!!

wE bought our house 1.5yrs ago and we STILL have some work to do (like painting another room...buying more furniture..) We're taking our time..

Our living room downstairs now has all kinds of burgundy and ivory... So we decided to paint all 3 walls there ivory, and leave one BURGUNDY... We used the VENITIAN STYLE to paint it...It's soo gorgeous! Everyone who comes over has to put their hand on that burgundy wall.. It looks like textured wallpaper, and it's shiny.. My husband did a great job doing it!

Go to Lowe's and buy a CD that'll show u how to do all kinds of painting styles..

Don't forget to post pix once the house is painted and decorated! Oh, and one thing u could do is take pix of before and after in every room...That's one thing we forgot to do :(
