Hi All,

I am going to Nepal to marry my fiance in December. I am trying to figure out the best way to go for an immigration attorney. The cheapest I have seen is here:

The next cheapest I know of was here:

And another attorney for 3000 that is in the Bay Area of California. Does anyone have experience with these attorneys or can recommend a good K3 visa solution/attorney. I am not rich so it would be very helpful to get your recommendations on ways I can save money. I very much appreciate your help. How long do you think it will take?

Is there a reason you think you need an attorney? Most people here file without one, and generally, an attorney slows things down. So unless you have major red flags (sexual criminal convictions of petitioner, drug use or previous overstay by beneficiary) or are just very very bad at reading and filling in forms, no attorney needed.

BTW, the K3 is obsolete, you will be filing for the CR-1. If an attorney recommends K3, run a mile, because they are not up-to-date with policies!

If you decide you rather want a professional taking care of everything, I can recommend Visa Associates in Southern California. They will charge you $1,000 for everything and let you know what you need to gather, where you have to sign, and even go with you to the interview, if there's one. They do nothing BUT US visas and AOS, every day.

There is no room in this country for hyphenated Americanism. When I refer to hyphenated Americans, I do not refer to naturalized Americans. Some of the very best Americans I have ever known were naturalized Americans, Americans born abroad. But a hyphenated American is not an American at all . . . . The one absolutely certain way of bringing this nation to ruin, of preventing all possibility of its continuing to be a nation at all, would be to permit it to become a tangle of squabbling nationalities, an intricate knot of German-Americans, Irish-Americans, English-Americans, French-Americans, Scandinavian-Americans or Italian-Americans, each preserving its separate nationality, each at heart feeling more sympathy with Europeans of that nationality, than with the other citizens of the American Republic . . . . There is no such thing as a hyphenated American who is a good American. The only man who is a good American is the man who is an American and nothing else.
