How did you organize your K1 packet?

I know what order things should be in, but how did you actually put it together. When I scan things such as boarding passes, do I put each pass on it's own sheet of paper, or can I put more than one boarding pass on a sheet? Did you just staple the entire package together and put it in a folder? Did you punch holes in it and put it in a binder? Does it even matter? Just trying to get this all together by friday so wondering how everyone else did it.

I used the USCIS recommendation on how to put the packet together... Two-hole punched documents at the top, placed in a corresponding two-hole fastner folder. Tabbed each individual section at the bottom. Paperclipped any documents that were supposed to be attached together, as well as large sections like the phone records.

This packet will follow you to your SO's embassy for the interview. Make sure it is 110% complete, and follow the 'Example Forms' and 'Visa FAQs' formats listed in the links above. I did everything myself (including the AOS) and not a problem with my paperwork (except for a missing signature on an AOS form). These guides work - just take your time and proofread the paperwork over 3-5 days. Good luck!

The only reason it looks a little messy is because the documents used in her country were longer than the ones used here in America. You can see the colored clips I used to seprate the Voice and Text portions of the phone bills for a two month period. Clear sheets where I entered two photos per page and the divider tabs above that, dividing all other documents.

"In preparing your packet, please take note of the following:

Do not use binders or folders that cannot be easily disassembled.

Use ACCO fasteners to hold together thick or bulky applications or petitions. Two-hole punching the top of the material for easy placement in the file is appreciated.

The use of tabs assist in locating items listed as attachments. The tabs should be placed on the bottom and not the side for ease in filing.

Avoid using heavy-duty staples; instead use ACCO fasteners or heavy clips.

Avoid submitting originals unless specifically required. Avoid submitting oversized documentation when possible."

I two-hole punched absolutely everything, considering that I did place the documents into a two-hole fastner folder. ACCO fastners are those colored clips you see in my photo, or any kind of fastner made by the company ACCO, lol. Even the folder was considered an ACCO fastner folder.

Paper clips or binder clips are all that is needed. They'll build their own two-hole punched file in the order they want it anyway. Avoid staples.

More than one can go on a sheet of paper. Don't staple anything, don't punch any holes.

We used paper clips and binder clips.

They may say they recommend a two hole punch but do they say what those dimensions should be? Does anyone know unless they've worked in a law office what the standard 2 hole punch width and placement is?

I used some staples, but I wasn't excessive. I kept all my relationship evidence in chronological order with notes on the papers for boarding pass photocopies etc. I put a cover sheet, listing what was in the package. I wouldn't worry about the two hole punch thing. As everyone says, paperclips and binder clips are good.
