Sorry if I came off as defensive, it was not my intention. I went to the interview unprepared with the wrong mindset. I thought our genuine love was obvious. We have plenty of group dinner and BBQ photos. Some of the other stuff I was lazy switching into joint names because I didn't see it as important. I think health insurance is s sham and she cannot be on my auto for 5.5 more months until she gets her license her relatives are in the northeast. My parents are deceased and my siblings all reside in the northeast, although one sister has visited us and will sign an affidavit

Well, we aren't going to question the nature of your relationship, but USCIS is.. You're gonna need to carefully and thoughtfully seek evidense to support your genuine marriage... Not everyone can change car-loans and home loans, nor does everone have car-loans and home loans.. the other thing I think would be bad is to start doing those things now after you've already had your first interview..

I wont try to suggest how you manage your life, but keep in mind this isn't a normal situation.. the only people faced with managing these kinds of details are those who are trying to convince a complete stranger, who already believe all of us scammers, of our genuine marriage is those who need to go through these immigration steps.. So, in most cases, it's nobodys business.. just not in our case..

So start thinking about what evidence you already have.. Keep in mind, you already have a pissed off I/O and he already doubts your intentions.. So be very thoughtful about how you can overcome your situation... Maybe a good Immigration Attorney can advise you..

Also, when you finally do return to the Interview, be very honest, respectful, and convincing.. You will need to spend time with your wife covering all the potential things they may press you on to ensure you both have a strong grasp of the facts.. sometimes, we remember things diferently, so make sure you both have your responses in agreement.. Most of all, remember you love each other, so nobody can say diferently.. that is the kind of impression you need to leave with the IO... You may not have all the co-mingled financial stuff, but it's clear your love is real and you need to give that impression durring the interview..

Don't get defensive, be honest, and sincere.. It's not a crime to be emotional about your love for each other when someone questions it.. It's natural... But don't, I repeat, DO NOT confront the IO...

Ty for the kind words. They also requested affidavits . Any thoughts on how many is too many ?

When I mailed in my AOS we sent in 4 affidavits - 2 from people at the wedding ( our mothers ). One from my husbands father who stops to visit us at our house all the time ( hes a trucker and passes through the city a lot ) and one from my sister who helped me pack my things and pack the truck to move to the US, she had also met my husband on a bunch of occasions.

It's not that important how many affidavits you get as WHO signs your affidavits. Obviously the "friend" whose GC was denied would not be a good candidate.

We had 4 affidavits as well : 1 signed by my husband's parents (he is the USC), 1 signed by the owner of the apartment that we were renting at that time, 1 signed by a neighbor and another one done by an employee of the leasing office located in the same apartment complex, who used to see us every single day.

The best affidavits come from disinterested third parties who have good standing in the community. Basically, this means someone who is neither a close friend or family member, and would have no real personal interest in whether or not you succeed in getting a green card, and who has a position or title of respect. Pastors, police officers, elected officials, business owners, or even a landlord would be good. Friends and family are given less weight because it's assumed they might be willing to lie on your behalf without having to be coerced. Anyone else might be coerced if they were given something in return, but someone with a position or title of respect has a reputation to protect.
