Strange NOA after Biometrics asking for biometrics appointment

Hello all,

I received a letter from USCIS today, says:

On 12/13/2010 you contacted us about your case.......

Thank you for your inquiry. USCIS records indicate that we have received your biometrics in the system. Please disregard the request notice for rescheduling.

I guess this is an official letter which states we could ignore these strange letters.

Those who have called customer service might receive the same letter as mine.

Those who haven't called them yet, I advise that you should call them and request to send an official letter.

They didn't say it was an error, but says to ignore them.

I have to say USCIS people are pretty clever in their customer service. Called them a week ago and a service request was initiated. Service request required USCIS to respond in 30 days I was told.

Yesterday they did respond:

"The status of this service request is: Your case is currently being adjudicated. You should receive a notice of action* within 45 days.

*A notice of action may be in a form of Approval Notice, Denial Notice, Transfer Notice, Request for Evidence, Notice of Intent to Deny or Notice of Intent to Revoke."

Service requests are helpful guys. Look what I received today:

On December 29, 2010, we ordered production of your new card. Please allow 30 days for your card to be mailed to you. If we need something from you we will contact you. If you move before you receive the card, call customer service at 1-800-375-5283.

My "RFE" status is gone after exactly one month. This is good news for you too guys since it confirms these RFE's and bio notices were not holding up your cases!

Mine was also accepted around that time, Oct 12th to be a exact. My bio was on Nov 8th and the 1st "RFE" was on Nov 19th and 2nd was on Nov 26th. Case got touched on Nov 29th and no touches until today.

So, those of you who are worrying about your RFE online status, no worries. Your cases are in process, I'm sure!!

Us too! I think the kooky letters and the inquiries into the kooky letters was a blessing in disguise as it made them deal with our cases. Ours was approved 1/24/11. Yay. Hopefully everything will be fine with the card and we won't have to deal with USCIS stuff again for a while.

April 11 - Sent IV package and AOS package TOGETHER. Confirmed delivery April 15.

April 26 - Case Complete (10th working day)

May 14 - Interview date assigned (12th working day)

June 5 - Interview in Sofia - VISA GRANTED!!!

June 16 - POE @ SFO. No problems. He's a citizen now!

Oct 4 - US Passport received. (SS card received some time in the summer; had to go to SSA office to obtain)

I didn't see this thread originally, (it was on the third page of the index), so I posted in the October 2010 filers.

I had the same problems outlined here too. I contacted USCIS today who told me my application was in "suspense", (odd phrasing).

My original biometrics letter was dated 11/1 for an appointment on 11/29, (which I attended). I received another NOA dated 11/18 telling me to make an appointment for biometrics, (which I didn't as I already had one). Apparently, even though I had my biometrics on 11/29 my case was still suspended because of this second letter being sent in error to me by USCIS.

Hopefully further to my call today, things will shortly start moving.
