Hi there,

I was wondering how long it takes for the check to clear once chicago receives the application. I mailed out my application on August 11th 2006 and not even the check has been cashed yet let alone receiving a NOA1. I was wondering if ther are any other people in this situation who have not received anything yet for the application sent around August 11th 2006. I even called the USCIS and they said my I-485 is not in the system yet. Does this mean it never got to the Chicago lock box??

I am sooo frustrated!!!

Well, personally my checks were cashed within 4 days of the package being recieved by the Chicago Lockbox. As the lockbox is a bank, it shouldn't take too long for them to cash the checks, but I guess it depends on the volume and how quickly your bank registers that checks have been cashed.

I assume that you have some form of delivery confirmation?

toneman, I'm in the same boat. Sent mine Aug.16/06 was received at lockbox and signed for on the 17th check still not cahsed and no NOA1. Post when you do get it so I can keep a look out to and I'll do likewise.

Feb. 15/ 07 --- GC approved

Nov. 17/09 -- I-751 sent (Day 1)

Same situation for me, it 10 days for the check to clear. Consider 2 weekends since then it should clear any day now, then NOA1 should follow shortly after that.

You have a long way to go, there will be many more frustrations ahead.

I SENT THE I-129F OUT ON AUG.15TH TO CHICAGO. THE CHECK STILL HAS NOT CLEARED YET. ALSO I SENT IT CERTIFIED WITH RETURN RECEIPT AND STILL HAVE NOT RECEIVED NOTHING YET.

I sent my son's AOS on the 14th, and even I have not received a notification yet, the check was cashed today. I think yours is coming soon!!

Toneman, they cashed our check today for the AOS and the EAD. Now the wait for the NOA in the mail. Any news on your end ?

Feb. 15/ 07 --- GC approved

It has nothing to do with when you mailed it out. When did they received it?

Hiya, we sent our aos and ead paperwork in on the 12th, it was delivered on the 14th but also our checks haven't been cashed. Hopefully it will be soon. At least this time with the waiting game, we are together and not thousands of miles apart like with the I-129f. :D
