Its got to be the bloody camera......any ideas anyone ?

Yep, you have a problem with color balance. Most probable reason is that it was manually set to "tungsten" and you took photos in sunlight or used flash. Read the manual of your camera and check how you can set the color balance to "auto".

If its the camera and the settings ...does that mean the pix I already have are knackered ? :hehe: ....please say no

No ;) You can use any image processing program to correct the color balance. For example, in Photoshop you would load an image, then hit Image/Adjustments/Auto color.

hmm Ive never dabbled with the setting and pix have come out alright before

You can adjust color using a software like photoshop or something like that. Only thing is, depending on the adjustments for how many pixels you wanted them to have, it might adjust that as well and you'd lose a bit of quality when printing them.

I only offer advice - not even legal. Just the plain and simple kind.

You might check and see if auto white balance is turned on to prevent problems in the future, if it got turned off you might experience color problems because the camera is not adjusting to different qualities of lighting, should be indicated as AWB

There's a free software program called IRFANVIEW

you can use it to correct any color defects on your picture.

Lucky for you the manual is available online :)

1. Make sure the camcorder is set to the [P] (program AE) mode.

2. Open the menu and select CAM.SET UP

3. Select WHITE BAL.

4. For the indoor, outdoor or auto settings, press the selector dial in to choose the setting.

(for auto it should say AUTO, if you set it to indoor/outdoor mode it will show an icon of a lightbulb/sun

5. close the menu
