Hi VJ Members,

I'm in the process of initiating the petition process for my fiance/wife and child. I was thinking about rendering the services of a "K1/K3 Visa Experts". I just wanted to know who here has or known anyone to render the service of a "K1/K3 Visa agencies (i.e easyfinancevisa.com) to assist and do all the paperwork processes involved in the Petition from "start to finish". How was it like, how did the process go and was it really worth it?

The 'majority' of people can and do file a K-1 visa successfully on there own with out any set-backs or denials, and some don't! It's all in the planning and preparations. One does not plan to fail they just fail to plan. With that said if you have the time to invest and feel comfortable with the process go for it!Some people's time is more valuable or they simply don't wont/can't deal with the paperwork, they may have complications involved so they enlist the services of a (qualified immigration attorney) or visa service. If your one of them hire someone to do the job. Only you know your situation and if you can handle the job. Read the 'Guides' spend some time on the site and ask question!

Those that I've seen on VJ using these services have regretted it. Either by the service making stupid mistakes, slowing the process down, or realising how much of a waste of money it is.

And you will find many members have made stupid mistakes slowing down the process on their own as well!

Ask yourself how far would you go to secures your wife, child or love one. Stupid mistakes can cost more the money! Right.

I would pay for a lawyer if i was concerned, not a fiance visa service who may or may not know what they're doing.

OP - the K3 is officially dead. If you do file the K3 it will be converted to a Cr-1, you would be married for this.

The K1 is actually really simple if you have a simple case, if you are AT ALL concerned it wouldn't hurt to speak with an immigration lawyer to talk about your case and your concerns. Apparently some catholic charities also help here and much cheaper.

Is there anything you're particularly concerned about? The standard concerns seem to be:

1. Age difference

2. Recent divorce

3. Only meeting a couple of time

4. Only having known each other a short time

5. Not earning enough money

Like I said, if you're concerned speak to an immigration attorney for an initial consultation, or ask some questions here first. You can always engage a lawyer at ANY stage of the process if you're having problems, they don't need to be involved from the start.

For USEM the big problem and or killer for the K-1 is not meeting and exceeding the poverty guidelines for your house hold size., co sponsor may or may not be allowed it is 'case by case' with USEM. Age has little factor if any, only meeting a couple of times is not a concern, you only need to meet the requirements (meet in person at lest one time.) As for having know each other a shot time, can be a factor if your bona fides ( relationship) is lacking in documentation.
