hi this is amna.im from pakistan.i just came to USA like last year.it is almost the year.and i have the GREEN CARD.i am married.and my husband is still in pakistan.i want to ask you that if i apply for my husband visa as a IMMIGRANT from my GREEN CARD then how long it will take.because i heard that the policy is changed.so is that truee..? people says that after then the husband be here in USA like in 6 months when i applyed..plzz help me out.

6 months would be great but highly unlikely... especially him being in pakistan and may end up in Administrative Processing ( i'm just say/... may not happen) RFE/s etc.

In reality he may complete the entire process from I-130 submission to interview in 8-10 months.... if the consulate becomes backed up at the time the case is ocmpelted at the NVC then the wait continues.

im soooo upset..i want that my husband would be here as soon as possible..

i know that they wont give the visa to paskitani people too easilyy...

Why didnt you file for him a year ago.... he would have been here by now.. It's hard... you miss him I say submit the paper work.. in a week or two

it is taking U S Citizens more than 6 months......I was in the same boat. I applied for my wife when I had a green card and then upgraded my case after becoming citizen. You need to apply. It is a long journey, cant reach the destination if you do not start walking towards it. You are gonna have to be very calm...
