Hey guys just asking if anyone has an idea how long after you request another date for Biometrics does it take for them to contact you again with new date. I got my letter over 2 weeks ago and sent it right back asking for another day as we were away last Friday. Still have not heard back from them. Should we just take a drive to Atlanta and try a walk in. a long way to go for a refusal is my worry. I have tried to call but there is no number for Atlanta office.

I sent in a request to reschedule 2 days before the date. (we sent them via express mail with delivery confirmation, I was due to have my baby and was experiencing contractions). Got the letters with the new schedule from them almost 2 weeks later, but the date on the letter was the day after my first appointment.

Lol...I know my explanation sounded kind of confusing.

Anyhow, our first appointment schedule was supposed to be October 14. (My daughter Pippo and I had to go together)

We sent the letter to reschedule, October 12 via Express Mail with delivery confirmation (having sent it so close to the time of the appointment I wanted to make sure someone got the letter! lol)

Letter was received October 13 before noon, signed by a J. JIANG

Received the new appointment letters about a week later (just looked at the postmark, it was October 19...saw the letter in our mailbox the day after that I believe), the date on the letters was October 15.

You sent yours in much earlier, you should have received a response by now.

Yeah I received the letter around the 3rd or 4th as I knew it was 2 weeks till the appointment 19th so I sent it back the next day ordinary mail as it only had to go to Atlanta. So maybe this week I will get something I just hope someone did get it and they don't think I abandoned my appointment.

I re-scheduled an appointment in Atlanta a few years ago. I received the letter on December 20 for December 29 - but we were flying on December 22 and returning December 30 for a family Christmas. I hand delivered my request for a change of biometrics date on December 21. When I hadn't heard anything by January 15, I called and was told that it can take up to a month to re-schedule and I should hear something soon. I received my re-scheduled biometrics the following week and it was scheduled for February 7th. So, I think it is still within the time frame to receive a rescheduled appointment. If you haven't received the new appointment by next week, definitely give them a call and tell them you are waiting for the new appointment. Hopefully you will receive something soon. You kept a photocopy of the biometrics appointment letter, I hope?

It is a good idea whenever mailing anything to USCIS to use some sort of a return receipt or a delivery confirmation. It helps to know when something was delivered, and it also gives you proof that it was delivered.
