Darnell, I just received my approved NOA2, but they put a paragraph on it that I am unsure about. SO I will type the entire paragraph, Is there something special I need to do? or is this a problem?

the paragraph:

The above petition has been approved and forwarded to the listed consulate.IT HAS BEEN NOTED THIS IS YOUR SECOND APPROVED I-129F PETITION AND AS SUCH,your information has been entered in a multiple visa petition tracking database. Please contact the consulate with any questions about Visa issuance. The petitioner can also file Form I-824 to request that we notify another consulate of the petition approval for Visa processing purposes.

Darnell, Is there any importance or problem with being attached to the multiple petition database. And I am sending my Fiance a copy of the NOA2 and the I-134 with supporting documents and my EOR letter. Anything else I should do now.I know you said before, we cann't email the K-1 to the consulate to speed it up, can we do anything else. I know I have been asking you for 2 months, but now that I received this letter, my mind has gone blank. Also I keep reading about calling the NVC or something like that, also about calling the State Department. Do I need to call them and about what? Thanks, Bill

The significance is that your case may get additional scrutiny at the Consulate. How much extra scrutiny depends on the reasons you filed more than one I-129F, and how prepared your fiancee is to answer questions surrounding the subject.

USCIS is simply complying with IMBRA.

pushbrk, Thanks for the answer, I guess Darnell is gone for a few days, maybe a Thanksgiving Vacation. Yes my previous I-129F was in 1994, and I did marry the girl and to be honest, even to this day I still love her. But she left me one week after getting her final Immigration papers,in 1997.There was nothing I could do about it.

Just because you love someone, doesn't mean they will love you back.I PRAY that this time I have found true love, but once again, We cann't see inside the head of our partner, all we can do is talk to them and love them and hope it is returned.

But back to reality and the present day. As I was asking before. What now? Do I need to call NVC or the state Department? And if so, does anyone have their number? And what do I want to ask them, just the status? or is there a real reason to call them. I have worked for or with the US Government for 36 years now and I know that it doesn't really speed anything up to call them, unless there is a problem.

I have coached my Fiance for the Interview, Daily for the last 2 months, and I sent her all the paperwork she needs for Packet 3 and the interview. I think we are ready, but I may have missed something. That was my purpose of this post. And I have told my Fiance everything about my Ex-wife, all the mistakes I made and the major mistakes that she made. So I think she is ready for any question about my past relationship. Most of the mistakes my Ex made were in her head, based upon what she thought life was going to be like in America. To her America was "Beverly Hills 90210 and Melrose Place." I don't know about you, but I live in Northern Idaho, and I think it is a great place to live, but it isn't Hollywood.

You don't do anything except make sure your fiancee is ready to answer any and all questions about your previous K1 case. You'll get extra scrutiny but maybe not much if it was 13 years ago. Just prepare her for the interview.

They didn't attach any "conditions". They just notified you that your case is noted as a second I-129F filed by you. Period.

Something new, but I didn't want to start a new thread. I just got through to NVC and they say my casefile was sent to the Guangzhou Embassy today. She gave me the NVC casenumber and when I asked if it went Safefile or DHL, she says they send most of their returns by DHL. She says my file was uploaded and sent electronically, but she doesn't know if that was Safefile and would speed up Jinyi's appointment. The case number is a GUZ 2010 number. I read on here that after we get our NVC casenumber, we can call the Department of State to see when the file is received at the Embassy. Now the questions. When should I call the DOS, and is their anything else I should do now?

Sure call DOS. There is no US Embassy in Guangzhou. The Embassy is in Beijing. Your file was sent to the Consulate, not an Embassy.

Packet 3 received and sent back to Consulate, Waiting for Packet 4 and the Interview. Unfortunately with Christmas and New Years, It will probably be end of January before interview. Bill

With GUZ, on any given day in December, they're equally likely to assign any January date for an interview. For instance if they assign 20 interview dates tomorrow, they are likely to be on 20 different days in January.

pushbrk, Quick Question. The Packet 3 that we send back. It says to send the 230 form, the OP169, the photocopy of her Passport and a mailing label. But are we suppose to send all the items it asks for on the OP169? It just says mark the form when we have them. Do we mail them in with the OP169 or do we take them with us to the interview. It makes more sense to mail them in now, so they will have time to review them. But below is a copy of the instructions on the form. Thanks for your advice. Bill

Obtain the following documents on this checklist that pertain to you. As you obtain each document, check the box before each item. Do NOT send the actual documents to the Consular office except for the Mailing Address Label, as we will have to destroy them. You will not be scheduled for an appointment until you submit these forms.

It says do not send the actual documents, but it also says no appointment will be scheduled until they receive these documents.I guess that means they want us to make photocopies of all the documents.Impatiently waiting for your response.I am anxious to get this done. Thanks Bill

You mail what they specifically tell you to mail and carry the rest to the interview. Do you have the contact information for Yang, Jiahua to stay at his "hotel" near the Consulate?

pushbrk, No, I do not know Yang, Jiahua's contact information. My Fiance is going to Guangzhou with her brother, and he is a very capable person. We traveled to 4 cities when I was in China and he always found us hotels and always got us where we needed to go on time. But I would be happy to pass on the information to him if you have it.

And as for mailing specifically what they tell you, Reading the line above, I could see it both ways. My Fiance has the original letter from them, and its in Chinese, so I don't know what it says.I am reading the English version off the Guangzhou Consulate website. I just don't want to do it wrong. As a Tax Preparer, I know the Government is very exacting on their forms, and their instructions can be taken many different ways.So I thought someone who has actually been through it, might tell me what they need. Thanks

Interpret literally and follow the literal translation of the instructions. Only send what is specifically requested to be sent and carry everything else on the checklist.

Well, I cann't get my fiance to read the instructions to me and she thinks she cann't understand them by herself, so she is taking them to an agency, that will charge her to put the Packet 3 together for her.She doesn't understand the concept of literal translation of the instructions. She wants to know exactly what to put in the packet.

Get used to the idea that even when it comes to how things are in the USA where you've lived your entire life, that if your opinion is contradicted by a Chinese person, you lose. Welcome to our world.
