I work in the suburbs of NY which is a fairly nice drive except for all the drunks on the road lately going the opposite way! But it beats working in the big apple and dealing with the NYC Transportation Authority

Commuting into Manhattan is the worst.

I live and work in the central NJ suburbs. 10 mile drive to work, takes anywhere from 25-35 minutes on most days.

My commute takes about 15 minutes each way. I go in way early (6:30) because I prefer to be off earlier in the afternoons. So there is rarely congestion at that time of day. If I were to wait another hour to hour and a half, it could be a slow-ish roll the last few miles on the interstate. I work in an eastern suburb of Nashville so if backups start, they're usually after I get off the exit.

I drive to work in my car and then get into my school bus to pick all the darlings up for school. Used to go back and forth mornings and afternoons to my house...but now I just hang at work to save on gas. Glyn takes the car and drops me off/picks me up in the afternoon unless I REALLY need the car during the day. We work in the same town and both have roughly the same commute and used to take two cars everyday. Now we share a ride and its great....less gas and fewer miles on one of the cars.

My commute is about 7 miles each way. It takes about 10 minutes to get to work, but takes anywhere from 20-45 minutes to get home. The traffic is bad, but not nearly as bad as it was before, when my commute was 24 miles and took 90-120 minutes to get home.

Live in Tampa and commute to Orlando. 82 miles each way, takes about 75 mins. I don't hit any traffic going to work with only some west bound I4 at hometime. Could be worse, some people sit in cars for 90 minutes stop start to go 25 miles. Though the car is taking a pasting!
