hi, i have question here again, we are still in the process of waiting for our interview schedule. we have a 19 month old baby boy but he is already a dual citizen(Filipino and American). i am just wondering if it is advisable to bring him with me during my interview? would it be helpful or not really necessary.. any thoughts? thanks!

If he throws up everywhere, it could be an embarrassment!

If children are allowed into the interview at your consulate, then I dont see why not, however, the interview will require all of your attention, focussing on a small child may detract from that somewhat. Thats just my opinion. I dont think there are any rules against having a minor in with you.

Since baby is a USC, don't bring him to the interview. Only intending immigrants are allowed in.

In Bogota, I saw babies taken to the interview. The interview area (in Bogota, Colombia for example) had restrooms, a food court, and families everywhere.

Since the child is not required at the interview, I would not bring him. I would do everything I could to make the experience easier. We all know how volitile babies can be!

Good luck

We have a baby daughter too who is USC. The baby will be with my MIL outside the consulate. My wife only will attend her immigrant visa interview.

However, it is a good idea to carry baby's entire file for added bona-fide marital relationship.

Loto
