RFE's sent by USCIS, do they arrive?

Hi everyone,

After finally seeing our cases on-line last week, I noticed that an RFE was sent out on the 17th for the I-485. It still hasn't arrived yet, I guess it's still early days but I'm getting a little worried as I've seen so many other people's signatures with RFE's that took nearly 30 days to arrive and some that never arrived!!!

can anyone comment from any personal experiences?? am I just worrying over nothing?

As long as the address information that the USCIS has on file for you is correct then there is a pretty good chance that an RFE will reach you within a reasonable time frame. A lot of the problems people have with RFE's are associated with changes of address, PO Boxes etc, incorrectly specified postal addresses etc.. As long as none of these scenarios cover you then you should be good to go.

I think you could probably call the USCIS and confirm that they have the correct postal address for you. At least that way you'll know that it wasn't the USCIS who messed up if it doesn't arrive.

My RFE took about a week to get to me from the time I was notified it was on its way.

11/30/2007 - I-751 Mailed to Nebraska

12/28/2007 - NOA Received (application has been forwarded to California)

01/09/2008 - Biometrics taken in St. Louis

03/27/2008 - I-751 Approved, 10 Yr Greencard in the mail !!

12/20/2016 - N-400 mailed to Phoenix lockbox

01/17/2017 - NOA Received

01/25/2017 - Attended biometrics in St. Louis

09/29/2017 - Received I-797C notice dated 09/27/17.  Interview Scheduled for November 6th @ 8am

11/06/2017 - N400 interview in St. Louis.  Approved !!:jest:

02/05/2018 - Notice of Oath Ceremony date received.  March 1st, 2018 @ 8.30am
