Hello everyone... We are almost done assembling the k1 package and we plan to send it soon to the USCIS. We saw that there are adjustments on the fees on the USCIS website starting November 23 rd, so i was wondering has anyone else seen this?

Thank you

If you send it off and have it postmarked today (22 November 2010), you can send the old fee. Otherwise you pay the new fee. Check out this link:

Hope this helps.

I hope AOS fees go down when I am ready to file

I think those are going up, but it's just a few dollars more. I trust that is not a deal-breaker?

lol, nice thought, but as far as i can tell, the ONLY fee that's gone down is the k1, everything else has gone up. and seeing as this is the government we are talking about, i seriously doubt anything will go down in cost again. in fact my theory is that they just lower the k1 in the hopes of getting more people to apply for it seeing as it will rope that many more people into paying the AOS fees down the line, and heck, if the relationship dissolves before they get the k1 file on their desk to process then it's just pure profit for them, so win/win for the desk jockeys.

We were planning on sending the k1 package today or tomorrow but since we are still assembling it, we had to give it a few more days. And by some accident i looked at the fees and could believe it :) Good sign for a start! We have everything ready, now we just need to do the payment and put everything in a folder. We will wait for the holiday to be over and then send it.

Good luck to all of you who are in the process and best of wishes to all those who are already through it.

Wish us some luck too .... we can use it!

Thank you everyone
