If we send our papers out tomorrow 11/22 do we have to pay the new fee or the old one? Since the new fees dont take affect until 11/23 wouldnt it be the old one since we are sending off before the change happens? Just need some clarification....

Basically it says that your payment needs to be postmarked BEFORE 23 November 2010 in order to qualify for the older fees. Otherwise, postmarks of 23 November or after pay the new fees.

Fees were changing for the I129f when I first filed my petition. There were similar directions regarding the postmark date on the uscis website.. Despite sending everything in before the fee changes, I received my entire packet and check back about a month later because I had not paid the new fee. I suppose i could have argued, since I had my receipt, but there was already a month lost, so I sent it all back with the new fee.

If your application was postmarked/stamped before November 23, the old fees still apply. Don't worry.

I saw this information now T___T should i run to the post office and add the new fee? Or leave it like that? WE send it with the old fee . .PLEASE HELP!!! :help: :help: :help: :help:

I'm a little confused with the prices, looking at that chart... I was told it would only cost $1010 for the entire AOS (for the old price), but adding the old price of the i-485 and the i-765 it costs $1270 instead (where did the $1010 even come from?) Was I supposed to add both totals or was the i-765 more or less an optional fee? I'm REALLY confused now, and I sure want to get it right now that the new prices have kicked in!

When you file the I-765 (EAD) at the same time as the I-485 (AOS), the fee for I-765 is waived.

The old fee was $930 for I-485 + $80 for the biometrics fee = $1,010.

The new fee is $985 for I-485 + $85 for the biometrics fee = $1,070.

Until yesterday, the fee for AOS was $1010 (even if the applicant applies also for EAD and AP, because these 2 fees are waived).

As of today the fee is $1070 (even if you apply for AOS only, or EAD & AP too - just in the other case, the fees for the latter 2 applications are waived)
