I think I used WES am not 100% sure its over 12 yrs back now. You will have to provide your degree from home country, all the classes that were part of your degree program and what was content of each class.

You will have to provide them this information, just you providing them your degree is not going to work.

HI.

Yes, If you would like to continue your education in the US from another country, or even work to any baccalaureate degree you have to have that US Education Equivalency of your degree earned from a foreign country. Because the rationale behind this is that they don't know if the documents you have presented are bonafide or authentic.

As to my case, My school I am attending for Nursing school had given me this list of the accredited institution that "translate" or should I say "equate" your education to the US Education Standards.

The institution will basically validate your transcript by contacting your foreign school and confirm that you did attend there, and they will show you how many credit hours each of every course you took from your foreign country as to what it is equivalent to the US Standards and of course if your documents are in foreign alphabet or language, the accrediting institution will have to translate it to English.

I had a wonderful experience with SPANTRAN EDUCATIONAL SERVICES they were very helpful in assisting me on what I need. It took about 1 mon for me to received the Translated document. I could have had it expedite but I preferred not to. I spent $125 for the service. 2 copies delivered to my school and my home via Fedex.

I hope this helps!

We used ece.org. Not bad. We are still a little iffy on the credentials equivalent, but we did the cheapest service and not the course-by course service. Sometimes having a boatload of extra credits can be equivalent to a US Masters Degree and we suspect this might be the case with my wife, so we might follow up with a more detailed evaluation.
