NVC and DOS told me that the package was send to the embassy on 15NOV2010. I check on the by reference tracking from 15 to 19 Nov 2010. The list provides information for all contries except Burkina Faso. I called NVC again to discuss the issue. They kept telling me that they send the package on 15NOV2010. I know Burkina Faso has a US embassy I have been there before. I don't know what else to do? Your sugestions are very welcome. Thank you.

Are you asking where your petition is? Not sure what the question is here.

If your asking where it is, the 15th was only a week ago, I would guess it would take longer than 1 week to mail the petition to Burkina Faso. Once it got there they would have to get it in their mail room and then send it to someones desk, then from there they have to put the info into their computers then from there they would contact your significant other.

Bila,

If you are unclear with NVC rep, try the below tomorrow.

Call DOS and Get a Human. 202-663-1225 Press 1 then 0 for a live operator. They will tell you clearly where it is and when was forwarded to the Consulate etc.

Also, note that, NVC will wait for a batch of cases together to forward to the Consulate, though they say it is forwarded.

In my case, one operator (a kind soul!) told me my file was forwarded on Oct 28/29. But when I talked to many other operators in NVC and DOS, I got clear answer that it was forwarded on 11/5.

Loto

You wait. If they sent the petition, it will get there when it gets there. Hint: NVC operators only know your case file was sent to the mail room. The have access to no information at all about when the mail room gave it to DHL. If you want to know if the case file is at the Consular division, call the DOS visa information line at 202.663.1225. Don't be asking them when it will get there though. They don't know either. They just know if the unit has logged it in or not.
