My husband and I already had our interview in Egypt back in October. I'm getting really worried because they said we would receive his visa with in a month, we still haven't received anything yet. Our status on the website is "under processing". What does this mean? and how long should it take? Who/where should I call for questions?

Any insight is appreciated!!!!

It is very common for beneficiaries from certain countries (Egypt is one of them) to be put on AP - meaning they require additional processing for background checks.

You can call the embassy if you have questions

Good luck

Um...the affidavit of support should have been sent to NVC WAY before the interview. Have you been through NVC yet where those documents were to have been submitted?

Giving a more detailed timeline of your situation will yield more/better detailed answers

GOod luck

unfortunately I'm having some trouble with my timeline, we hired a lawyer to do everything for us, but I have already submitted tax returns the affidavit of support was not requested until we had the interview.

You should fire the lawyer for not telling you you need the I-864 - mandatory for immigrant visa. Also, best to get versed in immigration so you know what steps are there and in which step you are now.
