We were approved this morning at garden city new york. The interview was quick and painless. The officer asked for some original documents submitted with the I-495 and the affidavit of support, and asked for evidence to support a valid relationship. We gave him some bills and insurance policys with our names on it. He then asked us for 2 pictures from our picture album which he did not look at. the only person questions he asked us was our address, where we worked, if we had kids, and our parents names. Thats it. Then were were told were would be approved pending a FBI name check and if we dent receive the green card within 3 months to return to the garden city office to check on the status.

09/20/05 I-129F Sent to VSC

09/23/05 NOA1 email

09/29/05 NOA1 "snail mail"

10/04/05 NOA2 email

10/11/05 NOA2 snail mail

11/03/05 Not sure when, but it arrived at Juarez

12/19/06 Packet 3 arrives at US address

2/23/06 Interview @ Juarez

2/23/06 Receive Visa

2/25/06 Arrive in USA - temp EAD issued at JFK

3/17/06 Received Social Security Card

3/18/06 Married

3/31/06 AOS packet sent to Chicago

4/6/06 AOS packet received @ Chicago

4/10/06 NOA1 for AOS, EAD, AP received

4/19/06 Biometrics

6/16 EAD approved via email

6/20/06 AP Document received

6/24/06 EAD card received

6/27/06 Appointment letter for AOS interview

8/23/06 AOS interview - approved pending FBI name check

8/30/06 AOS approved - via email

9/7/06 GREEN CARD arrives

April 6 - wedding date day 204

Aug 22 - AOS interview date day 101-total days 342

Sept 29 - green card arrives, done until June 2008 day 140-total days 381

2008

June 30 - I-751 mailed total days 1025

2009

March 9 - Removal of Conditions approved! total days 1277

10/27/2005 Got Married in NY (F1 Status)!

We thought about applying for Green card @ US Embassy in Tokyo during the summer, since that usually takes about 3 month (way faster than AOS in NYC)- but we changed our plan! So now, we applied for AOS 5 months later...

03/29/2006 AOS Package Sent to Chicago

04/04/2006 NOA

04/19/2006 Bio-Appointment (asked to reschedule for later)

06/16/2006 AP Approved (took 72 days)

06/28/2006 Bio for EAD/AOS

07/03/2006 EAD Approved (took 96 days)

10/05/2006 Interview @ Garden City! APPROVED!! YAY!!!!!

Tomo and Mike,

Garden city is really not bad at all. Our interview was quick and painless as well. We were supposed to go to another location but they sent us instead to GCity. It was a 1 hour drive. The interview lasted 5 minutes. We were asked how did we meet, if we had kids. Hubby was asked what is our address and whether he got a job. That was it. She asked for things with both our names. We had health insurance, auto insurance, car note etc. She gave me back the 30 pics I submitted with my 129F and I-130. :blush: Said she only needed two pics. And that was it. We feel totally blessed to have everything go so smoothly.

AOS, EAD - 115 days from mailing AOS to conditional Green Card in Hand

06-07-08 - File to remove conditions

4/28/09 - Moved to CSC

06-20-09- Received 10 year Greencard

Citizenship

07-09-09 - Filed N-400
