And nationally televised evidence to prove that blacks would rather fight, steal, lie, cheat, conspire, etc. amongst themsleves for perceived individual gain than to collaborate for a common cause. This one is a no- brainer who will win.

are you being sarcastic or what?

anyway... i am all for diversity on reality shows, but was this the best way they could do it? they couldn't just recruit a bunch of minorities and split them equally among the teams? geez...

way to foster peace, love and cooperation, CBS.

Arabs, Persians and Israelis next.

Are you serious?

VERY serious. Just verbally attesting to what is often silently thought.

There is a bright side... at least now I know which side I want to win. lol.

 You took the words out of my mouth!! But I wonder what they would do with a black Latino!!??:wacko: Which team would Mariah Carey or Bernie Williams (baseball player) be on? Or that black (?) Filipino guy from the Black-eyed Peas?

They'd be put with the blacks. Remember the 3/5 rule. Or as the late Richard Pryor would say, "What to you call a black rocket scientist?"..............

first off, silently thought by who? racists.... that's who.

it would be awesome if you and your thoughts would stay silent. like forever. or at least until they are less ignorant.

Less ignorant, or more like yours? For the record, I am black myself and although those aren't MY thughts, they are those of MANY of my contemporaries here on VJ as well as throughout America. Which is why so many will tune in on September 14 with bated breath to watch the drama unfold. It's expected and will be encouraged.

Never thought by me. I was just thinking the other day how I cannot recall my parents ever using race or ethnicity to label people in either a positive or negative manner, with the exception of teaching me about a difference like "Jewish people celebrate Hanukah". Things like "there were blacks playing basketball" were never said. It would be "there were people playing basketball". It wasn't a spoken rule and it wasn't something I was consciously aware of them doing (not doing). I guess that is why now when people use labels even in seemingly benign ways, it really stands out like a sore thumb to me.

Anyway, I though this "social experiment" had already been tested, and failed miserably, and we are still trying to fix the mess. CBS obviously has a short memory.

A great marriage is not when the "perfect couple" comes together.

It is when an imperfect couple learns to enjoy their differences.

either will do nicely. ;)
For the record, I am black myself
really? me too. what a small world this is.
and although those aren't MY thughts, they are those of MANY of my contemporaries here on VJ as well as throughout America.
really? MANY on VJ? care to name names or give examples? there may be a few souls on here than are less than open-minded but seeing as the majority are engaged or married to foreigners, they tend to have a better outlook on such things, IMO.
Which is why so many will tune in on September 14 with bated breath to watch the drama unfold. It's expected and will be encouraged.
*shrugs* some will, some won't. but not all their motivations are the same.

What??? No Native Americans?? I'm offended! :ranting::protest:

Actually they were the first contestants! They were playing during the trials, but then the producers took everything away from them and gave it to the other contestants and gave them their own untelevised survivor in a remote area.

 obviously I am obnoxious and kidding

He's pretty hot tho...
