I emailed the Korean Consulate yesterday to find out if they rec'd my petition ok, not only did they email me right back and let me know they did get it, but they also attached the entire contents of packet three. They rock!!! Now, all we have to do is send the forms back and schedule our interview via the internet, that is how they do it, because we already have everything else done!!!!!!!!!!! Yipeeeee. Thank you so much for everyone's support throughout this tough process, could not have gotten this far without you guys!!!!!!!

9/28/06 - Visa in Zaeems Hand - YEAHHHHH

1/6/07 - leaving for USA

1/20/07 - Wedding Date

1/20/07 - MARRIED!!!!!

2/10/07 - rec'd certified copy of marriage license

3/20/07 - Rec'd Social Security Card

3/21/07 - Checks Cashed and Case Status online

3/24/07 - NOA1 Rec'd for AOS and EAD

Is now a US Citizen immigration completed Jan 12, 2012.

Great! I wish all the consulats were like that.

Yes I know, I think they are very organized at what they do there, they do everything electronically. Every Consulate should implement such a system, would keep things running much smoother I think.

For those of us going through the Korean Consulate, I requested my interveiw on 8/28/06, and today it was posted on the website.....my interview is 9/25/06 @ 8:30am.....they are very fast once you get packet three (which is only DS - 230) back to them, getting your interveiw scheduled. That is if you have everything together for the interview, such as police reports medical and so forth. It only took them one week to post my interveiw, and it was within 4 weeks of returning packet three.

Dear SNZ1802

I would like to get some advise from you, please. My 11 year old daughter will have her following-to-join immigrant visa interview in Seoul Korea on 10/17/06, and I will be with her. However we are not from Korea and not familiar with Seoul at all.

Please advise us:

...What is the closest hotel name and address to the US embassy?

...How far is it from the Airport?

...Does the taxi drivers speak English? or it's better to hire an interpreter. (not that I know anyone who can interpret for us. hopefully we can find one :)

...What else can you advise as far as being interviewed in Korea.
