Hello guys,

I have been a quiet member here, but still I thought I should let you know that I was approved yesterday. I was adjusting status from a B2 visa (arrived in April 2010). I am married to a USC since 2003.

The interview was straightforward. We had all the documents they asked for on the checklist and this was what they asked to see. Otherwise, it was mostly going through our details particularly our address which we had changed lately. Then the officer went through the "have you ever been..." list. She was really nice as she told me to bear with her as some of the questions are really rough, like have you killed somebody or something like that.

We had a causal chat about what I and my husband were doing before we moved to Salt Lake. How many children we had etc. It was really like a casual chat. That was all. It paid off that we were prepared and having the documents in order.

She told us that she approved the case in the system and I will get a 10 year card since we have been married for long. Also she mentioned I can get back in three years for naturalization. Yesterday afternoon we just the notification of card production.

Hurray!

Thank you guys so much. This forum provided me with loads of knowledge and support. I spent the day before the interview reading others' experiences and that is why I thought sharing might help someone else in the future.

By I don't know how to do a fancy timeline so I am just going to paste it below.

Good luck to all of you.

Rania
