Is this an accurate list of what we need for the DS-230? Where is this form going to the NVC or to the US embassy in Morocco for his interview?

- birth certificate (how current should the certification date of the record be)+ (do they want a long or short version)

- police certificate(how current should the certification date of the record be)

- court record(how current the certification date of the record be)

- 2 photos(5cm*5cm)(how old can this photo be)

- marriage certificate(how current should the translation certification date be)

- cover sheet with barcode

- ds230 (part 1 signed + pat 2 unsigned)

- passeport datapages (copies certified)

translate all this documents in English

My husband thinks that this is only needed at his interview. I am not sure....

Birth certificate probably long version - because it will have all info such as parents' name and all.

Write beneficiary's name, DOB and NVC Case# at the back side of photographs. I have seen one guy to get RFE on that.

Also, provide NVC a photocopy of all the original civil documents.

How current? - All documents must be as current as possible.

Ok Do you think that I need to get the marriage cert retranslated again for the NVC. I can resend the photocopy of the original and copy of the certified translation that I sent in my I-130 packet. My husband can get the recent cert of his birth cert, police record, and court record with new translation from arabic to english, but he thinks that they may ask again to get these retranslated for his interview. What do you think is the best because in Morocco these certifications usually need to have a date of civil record no more than three months old. If he interview is longer than three months he may need to get thing again meaning he will pay three times for the same certification and translation records.

Thank you

I don't know about Morocco Consulate rules.

As a general rule of thumb, every document that is not in English must be translated to in English and provide BOTH the original in the local language and the one translated in to English to NVC.
