You guys should work on getting all of the documents ready. If you are ready for the next step all the time, you can get this process wrapped up within 6 months.

Get your choice of agent form, DS-230 and AOS alongwith your civil documents ready. You do not have to date these forms, do this before you mail them.

Sarah, there will be a packet sent with many forms to fill out for showing the ability to financially provide for you and many other similar documentation as well as police certificates and medical clearance from drs. Even tho you will probably receive these document in the packet once the approval is made he is saying you can go ahead and look on the USCIS website and get those documents and fill them out and have the medical and police records ready so when the packet comes you simply put it together and send it back rather than beginning the process at the time the packet comes to put it together. Kind of like cooking dinner bfore hubby gets home instead of when he arrives at doorstep ;))
