I am puzzled ... My parents did their interview on 11/1/2010 and was blue slipped so that my mom can take in her old passpost so that the u.s. visa could be cancelled. they are set to go back on tues. nov. 23 do that get/ask for the orginals at that time BEFORE going to the DHL counter to pay the shipping fee.. or will the passpost will be returned and all the documents inside and to finish final processing in the usa and then they will be returned at POE..?

RICARDO4EVA2, It is more like Consulate specific.

I think, your parents should ask the Consulate to give the originals back on 11/23.

If they tell your parents "clearly" that all originals will be included in the passport courier, it is fine. But if it is not, then it will be difficut to enter into the Consulate building later.

hi james&julie if consular officer cannot return your wife document after your wife interview this is not a good sign for you and your wife because its mean your wife is in back ground check as i mention above post your wife is in field investigation in her home town or country its mean they will investigate your wife document its this real or fake and your wife whereabouts if we take benefecery interview with consular officer example here 100 out of 95 beneficery consular officer return their docuument after beneficery interview its mean consular officer cannot doubtful about beneficery document and they satisfy with their document that why consular officer return beneficery document after interview if consular officer cannot satisfy beneficery document or they doubtful about beneficery document they cannot return after interview and this type of AP is a different type of AP which have different type of peroid and time

i'm not too sure about that... 4 days they will drop off their passports and to get the visa back.... guess the AP would come from the passport dropp off and return of the packet from DHL

I'm hoping we'll get them back come Tuesday... or at the POE.... so we can avoid sending ina request to have the originals returned.
