Hi guys, my names Ben and im from the UK, me and my fiance are curently about to send off the I-129F and accompanying forms for the first time.

I just wondered if we're sending enough evidence in as ive read on different posts and websites of people sending 80-100 pages or even more in!!

Basically she will be sending,

*cheque for $455

*cover letter and table of contents

*form i-129f

*declaration of how we have met in the last 2 years (may is when we met, then july, september and october this year - should she have described each time???))

*Statement of intention to marry on entry of k1 from me

*Statement of intention to marry on entry of k1 from her

*Evidence of having met

- 5 photos (one from each visit, and one of me, her, her dad, and her sis all together in sept)

- boarding passes from each trip

- copies of the stamps in my passport

- receipt from a meal we had in sept

- skype chat log

*form g325a filled in by myself with passport photo attched to sheet behind

*form g325a filled in by her with passport photo attched to sheet behind

*copy of her origional birth certificate

*copy of her passport

And thats all we've done.... is it enough?? its only about 30 pages!!

I have loads and loads more evidence i can use, like tickets for both of us from 10-15 different things we've done. (eg, ticket each from a football game we went to, and we have a pic together from is that ill be using)

Is it worth putting each visit in a section, so for example in one part i put boarding passes with photo from that visit and the tickets, and do this 4 times for each visit.

Or should i just keep the photos together, the boarding passes together etc?

im kind of assuming there is no right or wrong, but any advice from what i have already done would be awesome

Basically, is my evidence of 'having met' enough? or would you add anything else??

Thank You!!!

Ben

Looks like you have everything right. I added phone records too. Look at this link for full details http://www.visajourney.com/content/k1guide to make sure you are assembling your package correctly. Also Today is 11/19/10 IF you wait until 11/23/10 the filing fee will be $340.00, just a few more days and you can save $115.00.. The Best To You both :)

You know when we write the statement of intent. What address do i put on for the centre ill be sending the forms to? It all goes to the Dallas lockbox, right? How do i know which service centre it will go to, and therefore which address to put on the letterhead??

Thanks for the advice, im soo nervous about us getting it wrong, or getting an RFE. Ive read up on everything daily and still think its soo easy to file this petition, but at the same time it is soo easy to miss something out and mess it up.

I put the dallas address on my letter of intent.. Just following the assembling the package checklist and you will be fine, make sure everything is signed and dated. You need to have 3 complete copies of the entire package ( 1 for uscis,1 for your fiance(e) and 1 for yourself just incase any of the packages are lost in the mail. Also copy your check or money order, you will need a copy for your fiance(e) package. Read the assembling info http://www.visajourney.com/content/k1guide After you mail it expect a 7 - 10 day wait (maybe longer) for NOA1, then set up an account at www.uscis.gov, You can check there to see if they have touched your papers, from that point you will have about 5 months to wait on the NOA2...That's where we are,in the waiting game. Have a Great Weekend :)

You don't need the copy of her passport AND the birth certificate to prove citizenship. The only parts of her passport you need are the relevant stamps from visiting you. :)

Otherwise sounds good...make sure your cheque is written to the Department of Homeland Security, that's a common mistake!

Also I think you have enough evidence of relationship. It's not even really necessary at this point unless you're from a high-fraud country and you're not. Evidence of meeting and some photos will suffice. That's all we did and no RFE yet.

The waiting is the hardest part, you've gotta be looking at about 9 months so if you can manage to see each other inbetween times I think it helps the time go by.

We're 1.5 months in, but seeing each other next Month

Just don't call it "cheque" on the cover letter or some adjudicator could send it back because the DHS wants a check, not a cheque

PS: I'm just kidding, you're good to go! Good luck!

Thank you soo much for all the replies and advice. Do you think it will matter if we dont have any actually chat conversations to send? All our written conversations are via blackberry so do not save as they are data, and then we just talk on skype which i have the logs for and intened to send.

But do things like that really matter, seeing as they just prove we speak (ongoing relationship) rather than we have met??

Ben
