I just posted this in Egyptsearch.com but figured you all would know if it is true too.

I just got back from the post office where I applied for my passport and I had to indicate that I was going to Egypt. When I gave the lady the forms she read through them and then said, "Oh my G-d, you're going to Egypt?!?! I wanted to but not after last night!!"

My two daughters were with me so I told them to go sit at a bench and I quietly asked, "what about last night".

She said that there was a huge bomb that exploded last night (would have been 8/23 for them I guess) and over 160 people were killed.

Well i've listened to the news and I can't find anything. Is this true???

Thanks. Now I have to go google train and egypt. lol. I really wish the lady had kept her thoughts to herself. ESPECIALLY in front of my children!!! I can't imagine talking about something like that in front of someone's kids, ya know??? Some people just don't think before they open their mouth.

My parents, friends, relatives, random people on the street have said the same thing to me every time I've been to Egypt. Been there three times now, and came back safely every time.

It is scary though. My husband worked in Sharm last year, but quit so he could finish up all the visa stuff. Prior to quitting, he got a very good job at a hotel there, but didn't take it because of the visa stuff. That hotel was bombed a few weeks after he interviewed at the US embassy. Qadr Allah.

My fiance is working in Sharm. If there was a bombing, he would have told me. I spoke with him around 5 : 15 yesterday.

Don't just open your mouth and prove yourself a fool....put it in writing.

It gets harder the more you know. Because the more you find out, the uglier everything seems.
