Hi, I came to the United States under F-1 Visa as a college student. The day I arrived, I was given an I-94 with me. Now I'm currently holding my 2 year GC and wanna travel outside US, I just wonder if I must carry my I-94 with me or not, or just my passport and my GC would be sufficient enough to get back in the US.

PS: I lost my original I-94, and only have the copy of it.

You no longer need your I-94. Normally it is taken from you at the AOS interview.

If you leave the US you can try giving your copy to the appropriate people, per the instructions on the back of the I-94.

[Canadian border, by land -> give it to a Canadian customs officer; Mexican border, by land -> give it to a US customs officer; By sea or air -> give it to the transportation line representative.]

Or you can just put your copy away with your other immigrations stuff, since the original is lost.

At any rate, you definitely don't need to carry it with you now that have your GC. That and your passport is enough to get you back in the US.

I've only left the US once since I got my GC, and I gave my I-94 to the airline on the way out as it says, so when I reentered I didn't even have my I-94. My GC and passport got me in with no problems at all.

DON'T PANIC
