can someone inform me of all the fees associated with the K1 visa. I know about the medical exam and I paid $455 for the I-129F but are there any fees once you get to the interview?

thanks,

michael

If its the same as it was for me, theres another $131 for the visa processing fee at the consulate (not sure if the price is still the same, one of the people who have gone through more recently can verify this) and then $6 when you POE for your I-94.

Police check if you don't aready ahve it. Factor in travel to and from the K1 interview and the hotel, food etc as well.

Looking past moving to the US and getting married, you may want to keep in mind the fee for Adjustment of status which is the next process in line - its $1010 (if it hasn't changed recently) and that includes your AOS, EAD and AP. It's a hefty sum and many folks have neglected to realize they may need to save for it.

The actual visa is now $350, not $131, unfortunately. They changed it earlier this year. Also, you can pay by credit card (not sure if you could before), and now with the new online scheduling, you pay online before your actual interview. So, you basically pay to get a slot to book your interview.

At least, that's what my packet 3 or the website says (can't remember which) - my P3 hasn't been logged yet so I haven't actually scheduled or paid yet.

Good luck

yeah, the visa (at the interview) is $350

the AOS, EAD and AP goes up to $1070.00 on november 23rd

orfee just did his passport photos for the AOS,EAD and AP and that alone was $45.00. hopefully we'll get by on his previous medical (since that is supposed to be all you need) but if not - there's a possibility of having to pay for another..

money can't buy love? - huh - not when you fall in love outside the border!

I decided to keep a running total of costs purely for interest, will be interesting to see what it comes in at the end of this journey! See costs at the end of my signature below. Hope this helps.

LOL - seriously, they should've been! I kept getting dinged for multiples, then had to get digital cc as well...think the real issue was I did it at Blacks. Not to diss Blacks but I'm sure I could've found a cheaper place. Will do next go round!

okay i just read something that says we had to pay our $350 K1 visa fee before making an interview appointment. so as our appointment is only a few days away, dec. 14th i am sorta freaking. it let me schedule the interview months back and it still shows it. we have received nothing saying we had to pay right now.

i remember reading someone saying that you can pay AT the interview, is this correct?

or should i just pay using the phone numbers on the site. it says you can pay on the website but i can't seem to find where, just phone numbers to pay using an automated system.

thank you.
