payment made out wrong?

i just sent my 1-751 to VSC but i made the check to USCIS. you think they will accept the check? or send the whole packet back?

The check should be to U.S. Department of Homeland Security. That's what the instructions on 751 say. Whether they will return your packet, I don't know. But if they do, they will return the entire packet.

hello ,it should have been made out to US DEPARTMENT OF HOMELAND SECURITY,IF THAY SEND THE PACKAGE BACK JUST SEND THE NEW CHECK BACK WITH THE PACKAGE,, I'M NOT SURE IF YOU ARE GOING TO BE LATE FOR THE NEW FEES INCREASE, NOVEMBER 23, GOOD LUCK

hi again the ,the fee for the 1-751 now is 465.00------ november 23, it will be 505.00 just so you know.

ya it was my own fault for not reading the instructions better. they got my packet on 11/15. hopefully it will come back in time for me to sent it out before the new fees, if not then its just 40 bucks. what really sucks it just the wasted time.

You never know... they may accept it. If not, then they will return the package and provide you with a reason - which will be the check is incorrect. Most probably you will have to pay the new fee since it will be after Nov 23rd.

I just called my bank. The cashiers check has been cashed. So i guess i should be getting the NOA in the next day or two.

From what I've seen they normally take checks to USCIS. They WANT the dough!
