I received my initial interview hard copy today and it will be taking place on Dec 16th.

However, a couple of days before I just received email and text message from USCIS saying that they've mailed out my EAD card.

Now I haven't received my EAD but received the interview notice. This is still normal, correct??

Also, I'm wondering when can I go to Social Security Office to change my SSN status? (I was an international student and carried F-1 visa)

I obtained a tax used SSN while I was studying MBA. My SSN was expired on April. Therefore, by the time we got married(June) we couldn't change my SSN status.

Since I'm officially under AOS status. Does that mean I can go to SSN office to change my address, name, and maybe get my driver's license too?

Because I've heard some friends told me that it's better for me not to do anything until I received my EAD.

I'm just anxious and hoping that I can change to my current status. And also I can continually change my bank holder's name and my credit card name as well.

Just hoping you guys can give me some advices that would be very appreciated.

You can't change it until you get your EAD, but it sounds like it's in the mail right now!

Do F-1 SSNs expire? I thought your SSN was your SSN for life...

AOS for my husband

ROC:
5/23/12: Sent out package
2/06/13: APPROVED!
