+10

Don't just open your mouth and prove yourself a fool....put it in writing.

It gets harder the more you know. Because the more you find out, the uglier everything seems.

i got the apple idea from alton Brown.. you microwave the apple, cinnamon and onion in some water before putting it in the turkey

http://www.foodnetwo...cipe/index.html

i have brined the turkey before and it came out yummy but last year I didn't brine it but just stuffed it with the aromatics and the sage and rosemary.. I even put some rosemary and sage under the skin.. and baked it in one of those roasting bags and it came out perfect..

thanks!

I got some replies and looks like I'm making chicken & dumplings, green bean casserole, mashed potatoes, stuffing, cranberry sauce, brussel sprouts, and glazed carrots.

Haven't decided on dessert yet.

Pecan crust sounds yummy.

I make this greek yogurt tart with hazelnuts in the crust so I thought I'd give it a try with pecans for the pumpkin pie. Haven't decided for sure yet.

We're havinb rib eye roast

mmmmmmm

None of you need your turkey stuffed?:devil:

I just bought an extra one for you to stuff :P

Wegmans was having a sale on turkeys. 39 cents/lb. So now I have one sitting in my freezer but I'm not having Thanksgiving, nor am I having Christmas. So now I'm left wondering what to do with the turkey. Do shelters take them or is there some way I can sponsor a family and give it them? WHO WANTS A TURKEY?!!!! lol

I bought a lot of supplies earlier today but will need to go to Sam's to get a few other things that aren't at my regular store. I hate that place so much! I didn't even pay attention to the price of my turkey. I am bad at looking for deals.

Crème brûlée!
Wasn't she that really good singer who was married to Steve Lawrence, si man? Didn't know that we had cannibals on VJ, no man. Come to think of it, Cannibal crossed the Alps with the elephants, si man, so maybe it's appropriate on Thanksgiving to eat an elephant a bite at at time, si man.

Impeccable logic, si man. Isn't a peccable one of those wild pigs, huh man? Sounds delicious for Thanksgiving, si man. And, didn't Gregory Peccable shout "It's PEEEEople!" in a famous movie, huh man? Here we return, somehow re-crossing the Rubicon, to the idea of Cannibalizing elephants for Thanksgiving, si man. Tusk, tusk.

12-19-2007 = NOA2 by e-mail & web, dated 12-18-07 (187 days; 201 per VJ); in mail 12/24/07.
