I'm always curious to hear what other people are cooking for Thanksgiving. I'm hosting Thanksgiving for my family this year. This will only be the second time we've done it without our huge extended family and I'm convinced everyone else was too lazy to cook so they volunteered me to do it and then told me about it later. I only found out when I asked my mom what they were doing for Thanksgiving (I was planning on going out of town). Thanks family! I haven't really decided what I'm going to make other than the turkey.

Soooo...are you going traditional with a turkey or are you making something else? What sides or desserts do you plan on having?

I like roast leg of lamb, so we will have that along with turkey and all the traditional stuff.

Last year Tony and I had a brown sugar glazed ham (I think... either that or a roasted chicken.. can't remember which way around). I'm hoping for ham this year, it was DELICIOUS. We also made "green bean casserole" which my husband loves but I didn't even try.. yuck I hate beans.

It's just the two of us so we go small. Making turkey breast rolled up with stuffing and cranberries, mashed potatoes and gravy, green bean casserole (my husband loves that for some reason) and pumpkin cheesecake for dessert. :D

I really want to do a turkey breast but my sister and I are the only ones who like the white meat!

I was also considering a pumpkin cheesecake with either a cranberry compote or a candied pecan type topping or putting pecans in the crust.
