His stamp says:

Sworn translator

Accredited to the Courts

Graduate of King Fahd School of Translation

So he should be ok... We didn't get any stamps before we left, we didn't know we needed to.

You may not understand what I am saying. It does not matter where he graduated or his degree, but if he is not on the approved list from the US embassy in Morocco. You will have problems. That is why you need to have the stamp from the minister of foriegn affairs in Rabat if he is not on that approved list. Also, you cannot automatically add your husband to your auto insurance unless he has an international driver's license. I wish you the best. We will pray for you.

Ok, no I didn't understand you. Where can I find the approved list? If I remember right, my husband asked at city hall or one of the government offices and they gave him the name. We were going to use someone in Rabat originally, but we were told that because of all the running back and forth that we were going to be doing, we needed someone in his city., and they were right. I will ask him tonight.

My husband does have an international driver's license. When I switched insurance companies this year they asked if I was married and to list my husband's name. And even though he didn't have a U.S. driver's license for me to add, they automatically put him on my insurance. It was through Geico and online.

Thank you

Hi Lisamarie, I am so sorry for what you are going through now, and I pray that you can gather all they ask for and submit within the timeframe.

I also wanted to let you know that my car insurance company did the same thing (StateFarm). I had called to see about adding him and I specifically told them he was not a US citizen yet nor does he have a driver's license. They said that was okay, and they added him anyway. Not sure if it increased my premium as I already had my daughter listed. But nevertheless, he is on there. I also added him, by the way, to my health insurance (Blue Cross Blue Shield), and the supplements, and they are aware he is not a citizen yet.

God be with you....

Toni

I am just reading this thread. I don't know what triggers this long list of RFE's. I got this exact same one in 2008, before the CSC approved our I-130. They gave us almost three months to collect all of the evidence they were requesting. I sent what they requested (7lbs of evidence) and then It took three months from that point for them to approve our application.

I wish you the best of luck!

Waiting.....Waiting....waiting....waiting....and more waiting..........

Here is the list: http://casablanca.usconsulate.gov/list_of_translators.html

We did send our documents in the last week of December and got an update on the 30th that they received them and we should have an update or decision within 60 days. The attorney said to expect a 2-4 month wait. So that's what we're doing.......just waiting...and hoping...and a lot of praying. I wish you luck in your journey! :)

They only gave us 45 days, and it was 45 days of stress! I am still waiting for a few originals from my husband. We sent originals of mostly everything, but there a three or four last minute things that we had to add, so we had to send copies of those, which the attorney said they should accept. They didn't give us enough time to respond but we did our best. They literally have everything they need now to know about our relationship........congratulations to you, I'm happy you got the approval, and that also gives me hope! Take care:)
