what's the maximum of time the case can spend in the NVC to be completed?in a few days it will be 1 year ago since my file arrived to the NVC.thanks for sharing informations.

If I remember correctly, after a year of no activity on the part of the petitioner and beneficiary, then the case is closed.

Can I ask why you're still in NVC after a year? Usually it's only 2-3 months.

Saylin is correct...one year with no activity from the petitioner/beneficiary and the case is closed.

May love and laughter light your days,
and warm your heart and home.
May good and faithful friends be yours,
wherever you may roam.
May peace and plenty bless your world
with joy that long endures.
May all life's passing seasons
bring the best to you and yours!

its one year then the department of state send it back to the uscis. it can remain live, be revoked or cancelled depending on your circumstances. an i130 has an indefinite life. what happens next is up to yourself or the uscis.

i would verify with the nvc that they still hold your case. you can also request them to keep it open for another length of time, provided you make contact with them.
