Application sent-Now I'm worried

Hi,

I sent me completed K1 application to the Dallas lockbox, USPS is showing that the packet was not delivered and that a notice was left, and now the notice needs to be followed up on...USPS told me it's possible that a letter carrier is the one who maintains the PO Box but they are unsure, I am very concerned because the packet arrived on Tuesday, and it is still showing as undelivered. Has anyone experienced this before? and should I be worried that the packet is going to be returned? I am confused and worried and called both USPS and USCIS and neither one could tell me what is going on.

The way I am reading your post, it sounds like you sent your paperwork via Express Mail to the PO Box in Dallas instead of the address in Lewisville that is designated for Express Mail or other shippers (e.g. UPS, FedEx).

My opinion is that it will ultimately be delivered. Thousands of applications are sent to that PO Box by other USPS services (i.e. first class, Priority).

thanks for the responses thus far, just to clarify, I sent the paperwork via the US Postal Service and sent it Priority Mail, to the Dallas Lockbox and not the Lewiston location.

Did you send the documents and require a signature or return receipt? Sometimes that delays things as it requires someone to go to the PO and sign for things. I never suggest using a return recipt but just simple "delivery confirmation" which is confirmed by USPS. The exact name of the person that picks it up is inconsequencial and delays things a couple days. At any rate..this is a LONG process and a delay of a day or three or 10 will have little difference in the long run anyway.
