If someone has the true love of God and Christ in his/her hearts, then they will know peace. And they won't feel the need to project hate and violence towards anyone else. As a modern-day Catholic, I believe my religion teaches me that. I believe in Christ's love and forgiveness, loving your neighbor, and peace. What Catholics did years ago is irrelevant....what is acceptable now is what's important. So yes, MY religion is one of peace. Nowhere would any ordained Catholic support beheading someone, stoning a woman to death, etc. There may be exceptions to the rule where people do horrible things in the name of Catholicism, OR Catholics who do bad things for other reasons, but none of that is supported or defended by the faith I have.

I actually tend to believe that most religions teach the same. Those who pray, pray to the same God...we just call him by different names.

eta: For my own conscience, I defended my religion. What I will not do, however, is engage in a silly debate if your motivation is to poke holes in what I believe. That is not up for discussion. I will not rise to bait. If you can't take what I said here prima facie, then that says more about you than it does about me.

Sorry, I dont know you're Muslim. You don't sound like one, so I confused you with the bashers. I teach classes, I don't take them often anymore since I received my post graduate degree.
