I hope she does not run..... but just the thought of her winning and what it would do to AJ almost makes it worth the gamble.

That would be sweet..... now back to reality.

Truth is Obama may very well benefit from the GOP muzzling his agenda.

Sooner or later the economy has to improve and the closer we get to the election, thinks will likely turn around for him.

Not likely. If you poll all the economists, then next year will likely sustain an anemic 2% growth. While 2012 might fair a little better at 3%, according to the consensus projection, that still won't put the nation back to full employment until 2013, or 2014, with the most optimistic projections.

There is no room for the weak in Corporate America. I only hope my 401k is big enough and my mortgage balance is small enough when my day comes.

You just keep all that in the back of your mind, and when the time comes, you slum just enough to stretch your dollars until you take a dirt nap. Best advice from an old geezer? You want to be out of debt by the time you reach that day.

I think I will be out of debt before 50. Hopefully that's not too late.

Good target age. This month I paid off the balance for the second on the house, and just requested a payoff settlement. I paid off the first the end of last year. It's a little freaky not having to pay a mortgage every month, but I think I will get used to it.

If I stay in NJ by the time I'm 50 my property tax bill will be as much as my total bill is today (if not more).

Sarah Palin says she is seriously considering a run for the White House, and she believes she could beat President Obama in 2012, the former Alaska governor told ABC News' Barbara Walters.

"I'm looking at the lay of the land now, and ... trying to figure that out, if it's a good thing for the country, for the discourse, for my family, if it's a good thing," Palin said.

Asked Walters: "If you ran for president, could you beat Barack Obama?"

"I believe so," Palin said.

...

In a profile to be published in the upcoming New York Times Magazine, Palin told reporter Robert Draper "I am," when asked if she was weighing a 2012 run. "I'm engaged in the internal deliberations candidly, and having that discussion with my family, because my family is the most important consideration here."

Of course she can beat Obama. He is inept, and she is hot (and inept). Hey, at least she is hot! :hehe:

The property taxes keep sneaking up here too. There is a big difference between living in an incorporated area, and living away from city services, as far as the tax bill goes. That is something you can do something about, by being selective where you live.
