Sarah Palin says she is seriously considering a run for the White House, and she believes she could beat President Obama in 2012, the former Alaska governor told ABC News' Barbara Walters.

"I'm looking at the lay of the land now, and ... trying to figure that out, if it's a good thing for the country, for the discourse, for my family, if it's a good thing," Palin said.

Asked Walters: "If you ran for president, could you beat Barack Obama?"

"I believe so," Palin said.

...

In a profile to be published in the upcoming New York Times Magazine, Palin told reporter Robert Draper "I am," when asked if she was weighing a 2012 run. "I'm engaged in the internal deliberations candidly, and having that discussion with my family, because my family is the most important consideration here."

LOL, one of the only people in this country who the public has a lower opinion of than Obama wants to run for president. I really hope she does as that seems to be one of the only paths to Obama retaining the presidency. I'm still holding out that he won't run again, or at least somehow Mitch Daniels will.

LOL, one of the only people in this country who the public has a lower opinion of than Obama wants to run for president.

There's another one of those coming out of the woodwork.

Donald Trump is getting more serious about his run for the presidency in 2012.

"I am thinking about things," he told George Stephanopolous in an interview on Good Morning America this morning. "I love what I'm doing, but it could be fun because I'd like to see some positive things happen for the country. ... We cannot let the rest of the world beat us up. We're like a whipping post right now."

Trump, who said last month he was considering running, launched a website - shouldtrumprun.com - on Friday to gauge interest in him as a candidate. He said on GMA he is a Republican and would run as a Republican.

What about Sarah Palin? "She's very interesting. Don't underestimate her," he said. So, he'd be running against her? "If I ran, I would have no choice. I'd take her on. I like her, but I'd take her on." Trump said he will make a decision by June.

A stick could beat Obama, if the election was held today. So what?

President Barack Obama trails both former Govs. Mike Huckabee of Arkansas and Mitt Romney of Massachusetts in a potential 2012 matchup, according to a CNN/Opinion Research survey taken before Tuesday's elections.

Huckabee tops Obama 52 percent to 44 percent in the survey. Romney leads 50 percent to 45 percent.

...

But Obama runs significantly stronger against the rest of the field, especially former Alaska GOP Gov. Sarah Palin, leading her 52 percent to 44 percent in the poll.

That was two weeks ago, but now she got her a new TV show. Look what that did for Huckabee.

No wonder why this country is in Shamble, We are always campaigning, whose does the election start or ends?

Special interest determines who you get to pick, and with the round the clock campagning, it's getting worse and worse, no wonder why Washington is so disfunctional,

Nobody there got balls to make any serious decision without looking or thinking where their next campaign contribution is coming from.

we had this thing at work where under the Ethical rule, no employee should bride a foreign official to get contracts and so on, what we think of happening in developing or 3rd world countries is happening right under OUR NOSE under so called CAMPAIGN CONTRIBUTIONS.

Gone but not Forgotten!

Yeah but it's Sarah Palin. The more she says, the less people can stand to listen. Having a forum to express her thoughts can only hurt her chances.

Or is that what you meant?

You sound like exactly the kind of elitist that will be dealt with in Palin's America. Iron hand.
