DS260 is not applicable to Manila cases.

The Form DS-260, Online Immigrant Visa Application, will be used by visa applicants starting October 4, 2010, for the following immigrant visa applications which meet ALL of the following conditions:

The petition was approved in the U.S. and the immigrant case is being processed by the National Visa Center; and

Applications are for immigrant family based (from I-130 petition), employment based (from I-140 petition), certain special immigrants (from I-360 petition), and immigrant entrepreneur (from I-526 petition); and

Visa applicants to be interviewed at selected U.S. Embassy/Consulate pilot locations which include:

Amman, Jordan

Athens, Greece

Baghdad, Iraq

Ciudad Juarez (only if the case number begins with MEP)

Lima, Peru

Montreal, Canada

Oh my God, I've been following the NVC shortcuts and we went ahead and mailed our AOS package and IV package to Portsmouth last week as soon as our fees were marked paid online. Just now I received a confirmation email about our payments and to proceed with sending our documentation via DHL to Montreal. Does this mean our packages will have to be entirely redone or will NVC simply process our case and forward everything to Montreal as per the old way? I'm feeling so sick right now.

Confused,,,, I went to the USCIS web site and did a search for ds-260, and found nothing.

NO, it's for a few consulates only including mine -- in Montreal. What the hell? I've been blindly following the NVC shortcuts trying to get ahead and now it appears I've sent everything to the wrong place. I'm on the phone trying to get through to NVC right now.
