Wow you just scared the ####### outa me 4 hours and im already in the airport? so its another airport all together and not just another terminal?

Unfortunately, yes, it's technically the same airport, but the other terminal is still way around that same airport. China Airlines is Terminal 1 if I remember it right (because most of the other airlines are there although some are at the old domestic terminal), and Terminal 2 is exclusive for PAL while Terminal 3 is exclusive for Cebu Pacific. Just going from the North and South wings of Terminal 2 itself takes time because there is no shortcut inside and you have to exit and enter again (which means you have to be checked again) and I have the same worries as you have now with David's trip last month. Lining up for a taxi and taking that taxi to the other terminal takes more time, so I just hope that your plane will arrive so much earlier than expected, and it will not be a busy time at the airport so you will be able to get through all that quicker than usual. If you get caught in traffic in between the airports, then it's super bad luck, although I hope that it wouldn't have to happen.

If you'll search for my older posts, I had the same trouble with David last month, at Terminal 2 (South & North Wings) between the international and domestic wings. It was very fortunate that his plane arrived an hour early than usual (and for the first time in the past 3 months), so we had enough time. Keep on praying and wishing that the same thing will happen with your flight and everything will be smooth. Prayers seemed to have worked with us.

Thanks for all the advice :)

I just took a look at everything that was in the check bag and its mostly toys for my son and a spare playpen. none of which are a must have. So i will just travel light, take two carry ons, one being his diaper bag and bring a copy of the link showing what we can carry.

Thanks for all the advice guys.

Love this site.

my advise my friend...don't even mention anything about the diaper bag when you check in at the airport. if they don't say anything, then your next hurdle will be at the boarding area. sometimes they will check everyone's carry on luggage make sure nobody is trying to bring on more than they are allowed. but most of the time, the various airlines i flew on, they'll only do it randomly and sometimes not at all. but yeah...im sure they're not gonna give you grief at the airport...but do bring a copy of what it says in their website though.

also...+1 on leaving toys and the extra playpen. the reason?..because there are a lot of toys you can buy your son over there for a few dollars. and you can buy a simple playpen for the little guy for about $15-$20 over there. and yes...if you're picky enough, the playpen you get for that price will be safe enough. i bought my youngest son a crib/playpen made out of wood with a woven rattan bottom. and it's still alive to this day. and trust me...he put that sucker through the ringer when he was a baby!..LOL.

the international terminal and the domestic terminal is basically just down the street from each other. what takes long is the process of getting out of the airport. if you're lucky, you can get your luggage and be through the 1st terminal in about an hour. it's the traffic getting to the second terminal that's very unpredictable!
